Charles (Carlos) Molnar is Managing Principal and founder of SOL DESIGN STUDIO LLC, a Florida Corporation with Hillsborough Minority Certification. Carlos is a registered architect in five states. Carlos and the design team collaborate with clients to design the project's overarching vision. The team then optimizes that vision, selecting quality materials within established budgets.
As Managing Principal, Carlos is responsible for all aspects of the design process, client relationships, and company resource allocation. Carlos has strong experience in the field of architecture, planning, historic preservation, and design with more than 20 years of experience. He has completed projects throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. He offers specialized knowledge and proven ability in public and private facilities planning, hospitality, residential, institutional, and commercial design of varying types and sizes plus master planning and urban design.
Carlos is a former President, currently serving as the State Representative of the AIA Tampa Bay Chapter and prior Adjunct Professor at the University of South Florida's College of Architecture and Community Design.
Carlos is also a registered Inspector for the Safety Assessment Program, as first responders to Natural Disasters for the purpose of immediate evaluation of any structure's ability to be re-occupied after the event to safeguard the public.
Outside of the office, Carlos is the proud father of three kids with passions in Fencing, Music, and Zoos.

As an aspiring architect, I am working to create my voice in the design community. Currently, I am serving on the board for Tampa's Center of Architecture and Design, but hopefully that is just the beginning. Outside of work, you can find me with my two huskies that are bigger than me, cooking new dishes, or out buying too many plants.
Creating is a passion. Starting with an idea, using various mediums, to become a reality, has been a life-long pursuit. Of equal passion are biking, reading, and exploring the vibrant restaurant scene in Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Sarasota.
Designing is a passion that I use in every aspect of my life, whether it is working closely with our clients or my own personal home renovation projects. When I'm not designing, I'm typically indulging in a round of golf, competing in ball hockey matches, playing video games, or enjoying a Tampa Bay Lighting hockey game with my wife, family, or friends.
There has always been a great love of architecture in my heart since I was a child. As a graduate of the University of South Florida's Masters in Architecture program and an aspiring architect, I strive to bring beauty, passion, and quality work to every project I have the pleasure to be a part of. Outside of work, I enjoy playing video games plus researching history, architecture, and fashion.
It's in the details for me. How things connect and how it supports the overall design. What does it look like from 60', 6', and 6". Great design continues until the eye blurs. When I'm not drawing shapes, I enjoy working out, playing golf, woodworking, and a nice dinner with friends and family.

When I'm not involved in design and community association, I'm a sports enthusiast watching local Tampa sports teams and expressing my creativity capturing moments through photography. Growing up in Tampa, my go to relaxation is soaking up the sun in the tranquil atmosphere of the beach.
