I first found out about Beanie Babies® the day before Christmas, 1997. I bought some that day as stocking stuffers and as extra gifts for some kids who were coming to visit during the holidays. At that time I made the decision to NOT get into the "craze."... Then, in June of 1998, my sister Renée visited us, and on one of our shopping trips she convinced me that I needed Hippity™, Hoppity™ and Floppity™. Later that day I just had to have Princess™ and Peace Bear™. I learned a lot that day, but mostly that I had to have them all!
