SIOUXLAND ETHANOL

Siouxland Ethanol is a locally-owned, 80-million-gallon ethanol plant in Jackson, Nebraska... Now producing 90 million gallons of ethanol each year, Siouxland Ethanol became operational in May 2007. The plant consumes 30 million bushels of corn each year to produce a clean-burning, high-octane gasoline additive. This corn is purchased from our local farmers and elevators and the dollars turn over in our local communities... Distillers grains are a co-product of the ethanol production process at Siouxland Ethanol. This high-value livestock feed has become widely accepted among livestock producers. Siouxland Ethanol produces 210,000 tons of distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS) each year. Much of this is sold locally to cattle feeders, as well as poultry feeders. Siouxland Ethanol also produces 14,000 tons of corn oil each year.
