Garry Marshall is "Steve Mayland", the patronizing producer who belittles Alex in a pitch meeting until he cracks and stabs him in the hand with a pen.
Marshall has appeared in both television and film, most recently with a recurring role pn "Murphy Brown", but is best known as a producer, writer and director. He is responsible for such shows as "Happy Days", "Leverne and Shirley" and "Mork and Mindy". His directing credits include Beaches, Pretty Woman, The Other Sister, and Runaway Bride.
Rebecca Taylor graduated from the University of Arizona in the spring of 1996. Before leaving Arizona, she got her first taste of the film festival circuit by managing the Arizona Film Festival with Dr. Guilio Scalinger a month prior to her graduation.
Taylor left Arizona to take a job at FOX's "Mad TV" as a researcher. In her second year with the show she managed the research department. While on hiatus from "Mad TV," Taylor worked on the feature film Road Kill.
Most recently she was the producer on This Space Between Us.
