Welcome to the offices of Drs. Behringer, Eckhardt, & Potocki Inc. For over forty years, our practice has served the people in and around Northwest Ohio. In 1963, Dr. Jerrold Behringer opened a solo practice in Defiance. He was joined by Dr. George Brown in 1976. Together, they opened a second office in Bryan (1984). Dr. Craig Herman joined the partnership in 1984, and they opened a third office in Wauseon (1988). The following year (1989) Dr. David Behringer had the unique opportunity of working with his father and Drs. Brown and Herman. Dr. J. Behringer retired in 1991. Dr. Jon Eckhardt joined the practice in 1999 and the four orthodontists practiced together until Dr. Brown retired in 2005. Dr. Herman retired in 2018 and Drs. Behringer & Eckhardt managed the practice together until Dr. Potocki arrived in the summer of 2020. At that time, the decision was made to begin doing business as Smiles of Ohio Orthodontics.
