South Ocean Management Ltd. ("SOM") was established in Hong Kong in 1992 to invest in the economic growth of China through companies listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange. Founded by former chairman, Richard McConnell, and Brook McConnell, presently President and Chief Investment Officer, the Group commenced offering its services as a fund manager in 1992... We believe China will succeed in achieving economic goals that only a few years ago would have seemed impossible... We invest in fundamentally undervalued shares of companies that are investing in China for growth, concentrating on small/mid cap companies listed in Hong Kong.
