History 100 Years Experience in expanded Mesh! 1867 Sorst was initially founded as locksmith‘s shop by Wilhelm SORST, located in Hannover, Köbelinger Straße. 1901 launch of industrial manufacturing perforated steel. Seven years later new building was built in Hannover, Schulenburger Landstraße/Sorst Straße. 1919 started the manufacturing of expanded mesh, perforated metal and steel lockers. Only two years after - 1921 - Sorst became leading manufacturer for expanded and perforated metal in Germany. 1998 split into 2 divisions, Sorst Streckmetall took over the expanded mesh and moved to the current Premises in Wohlenberstraße in Hannover.
