Anthony brings over 45 years of experience in architecture, design, and project management to the Spiezle team. His keen attention to detail, and in-depth knowledge of the design process are vital assets in his role as Principal at Spiezle. He's helped build a range of structures, from K12 and higher educational facilities, to healthcare, governmental, residential housing, and commercial buildings.
Anthony believes that the architectural arrangement of an institution is shaped by that institution's philosophy, and that giving form to an institution is giving purpose and meaning to its life. As he strives to create buildings that are of their place and the people they serve, Anthony synthesizes the needs of the client, the vision, technical knowledge, and his architectural experience into the best economical design and aesthetic solutions for each project.
He is active in the community, and served as a board member of the Indian River Hospital Board, American Cancer Society, First National Bank and Trust Company, Indian River County Chamber of Commerce, Indian River County Construction Board of Codes and Appeals, Exchange Club Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse, Indian River County Historical Resource Committee, and the Italian American Civic Association. He also served as President for a variety of executive boards and civic community committees.
Anthony earned his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Ohio State University.
An engaging and analytical architect, Bob's driving design principle is to help his clients do what they do better by designing spaces that are active catalysts in supporting their unique efforts. Bob achieves this by fully understanding his clients' vision, mission, and goals in order to develop solutions that allow the built environment to help them find greater success.
Bob's creativity is evidenced in a rare combination of active listening, problem seeking, analysis, design, and technical skills. Bob's approach is evidenced in designs that are specific to a client's needs, creating enlightened and highly functional plans and designs. Bob strives to show clients how to chart the path to the future, how to make more out of what they already have and how to create a new facility that is inspirational, efficient, functional, and well-built.
Emboldened by our company's thorough belief that everyone can positively affect the firm and our clients' organizations, Bob views a key aspect of his role is as an educator. Education is a tool to lift the limitless potential of young architects in the industry as well as our clients' stakeholders. Bob's love of learning and teaching provides unique insight that creates transformational projects. Bob has guest lectured at various organizations and universities to spread the word about how better planning can be transformational for institutions.
Bob received his Bachelor of Architecture from Temple University.
As a Spiezle employee-owner for over two decades, Celeste has been a key player in improving internal processes and creating innovative solutions for employees. As a strong listener, Celeste prides herself on ensuring each team member she interacts with has a positive experience by addressing their needs and determining efficient solutions. Never one to remain stagnant, Celeste constantly refines her approach to processes and enjoys pushing herself outside of her comfort zone for the betterment of the company's strategic goals and its employees.
As the firm's Human Resources Manager, Celeste oversees the day-to-day needs of the firm's employees and ensures HR compliance. She works with Spiezle's employees on the full spectrum of employment, benefits, and HR needs, and is an advocate for clear and healthy communication. Celeste's leadership style emphasizes improving employee culture through transformational human resource strategies, including coaching, succession planning, conflict resolution, professional development, and relationship building. A strong proponent of upholding positive workplace morale, Celeste believes in making the best of every situation. She has been an instrumental member of the employee ownership program and advocates for each employee-owner at the firm.
Outside of the office, Celeste enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, and shopping.
Chris is an award-winning designer with 33 years of experience in all phases of the architectural process, including programming, design, construction documentation, along with project management and construction administration. His creative, hands-on approach provides clients a primary point of service and a stabilizing voice to any project he leads.
Chris serves as Spiezle's Associate Principal responsible for determining and coordinating the design direction for most of the firm's large-scale projects. His attention to detail, personability, and collaborative approach are foundational pillars that help elevate Spiezle's architectural design process. In his mind, the client's needs are his needs, and it is paramount those are met once a project reaches completion.
Active in his community, Chris is a past member of the Havertown Planning Board, and the Havertown Township Revitalization Task Force Executive Committee. He is also a member of the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce, Rotary International, and has served as visiting juror at Philadelphia and Drexel Universities

Heather has three decades of experience overseeing and managing all aspects of the interior design process for academic, healthcare, and senior living clients. As Director of Interiors, Heather leads our team of talented interior designers in developing design solutions that blend aesthetics with functionality to meet each client's specific goals. Heather excels at leading multidisciplinary teams, providing design direction and support, mentoring young designers, and fostering collaboration throughout the design process.
Heather brings vision, innovation, and a passion for designing spaces that inspire. With her client's goals in mind, Heather designs spaces that positively affect change and the people who use or visit them. With a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of design trends, she incorporates sustainable practices and the latest technologies, ensuring each project is completed to the highest standards.
Heather became a designer because it allowed her to combine her passion for art and her love of solving puzzles. She recalls being a very creative and inspired child who loved to express herself. Heather received her interior design degree from The Art Institute of Philadelphia. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, dog, and friends. She resides in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania.

As Spiezle's Creative Marketing Director, Jaime oversees all marketing and communications functions for the firm including media relations, branding, proposal, conferences, and photography. She is a seasoned leader with strong communication skills and 20 years of marketing experience in the A/E/C industry in. Her creativity, commitment, and multi-faceted skill set make her uniquely suited to drive Speizle's marketing and development.
Throughout her career, Jaime has been active in industry young professionals' groups, as well as Toastmasters International. She has also previously participated in CANstruction, PARKing Day Philadelphia, and attends SMPS events. When not at work, Jaime enjoys spending time with her family, photography, baking, and quilting.
Jaime earned her Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design from The College of New Jersey, and her Master's Degree in Graphic Communications Management and Technology from New York University.
Jill has been a member of ASID since 2003. She served as a local chapter president and on many other committee roles. Currently Jill is active in CREW, Women in Healthcare, and POWER. Jill sits on the board for Women in Healthcare as the chair of the mentorship committee and is the Co-Chair for the Outreach Committee of CREW Greater Philadelphia.
Since joining the firm in 2004 as a project architect, John's technical capabilities, dedication to his clients, enthusiasm and collaborative nature have made him a valuable member of the Spiezle team.
As a Principal, John focuses on guiding and educating clients in the higher education sector, through a holistic process and sustainable methodologies, to enhance their campus environments and to achieve their strategic vision. He possesses critical expertise in programming, management and implementation, assisting his clients in identifying opportunity and creating dynamic solutions. His building design and campus planning experience position him to successfully lead programming, design, and construction phases for any project type; including academic spaces, laboratories, student centers, administrative offices, athletic centers, and performance spaces. John is dedicated to his clients and their mission, consistently exceeding their expectations, which is illustrated by the significant number of repeat clients he serves.
John's passion and commitment, coupled with a depth of experience and knowledge, have been instrumental in positioning Spiezle as thought leaders in higher education. In addition to the exceptional client service he provides, John has earned numerous accolades and awards for his project designs, is an active member of several industry organizations, and has presented at various conferences. He is most proud of the long-standing committed relationships that he has built with his clients and industry partners, and the positive impact that his efforts have had on the built environment and the communities that he serves.
John has also been pivotal in many intra-office initiatives, including staff mentoring and development and employee-ownership awareness. Outside of the office, he enjoys cooking, gardening, traveling, photography, and coaching soccer.
John earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Thomas Jefferson University (formerly Philadelphia University).

With nearly 20 years of experience in the industry, Melissa oversees the firm's construction administration practices while constantly looking for ways the firm can improve and grow. From facilitating lecture series to helping improve internal processes to mentoring less experienced staff, Melissa is a true team player who shares her experiences from her site visits to allow numerous staff members to benefit from her knowledge. She is also instrumental in improving the firm's internal QA/QC department. Melissa has an extensive background in construction project management in all project types. Melissa also stays up-to-date with cost information and construction trends to ensure that she is keeping her clients informed of any potential implications in their construction project progress.
Melissa is active in the community. She is currently the Chairperson for St. Matthias School's annual Tricky Tray event and on the Board of Trustees for the Cedar Hill Swim Club where she serves as the Chairperson for both the Swim/Dive Team and the Events Committee.
Melissa received her bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
Rich finds inspiration for his designs by simply stopping to take in the world around him and drawing upon his belief that all things in the world have a story to tell. His passion for sustainable building design and careful analysis of architecture make him an integral part of the Spiezle team.
In his free time, Rich enjoys golf, live music, and being in the mountains, camping, and hiking with his dogs. He also enjoys exploring big cities.
Rich received his AST in Architectural Drafting Technology from Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology, and his Bachelor of Architecture from Drexel University.
Innovative thinking combined with a strong service orientation has earned Scott Downie an excellent reputation among clients and colleagues alike.
As one of the firm's Principal leaders, Scott employs his extensive understanding of fundamental planning principles as a springboard to produce unique and engaging environments for a diverse range of clients and projects. With a focus on responding to client-specific needs, he delivers targeted, creative, sustainable design concepts while building broad-based stakeholder support in the process. Scott recognizes that, fundamentally, what makes design challenging and exciting are combining the unique goals and needs of each and every client with the artist's eye to create responsive, innovative, and sustainable solutions.
Scott also appreciates that one cannot receive nourishment by design alone. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, advancing the efforts of non-profit groups he is affiliated with, and cycling in his community.
Scott earned both his Bachelor of Science in Architecture, and Masters of Architecture from the University of Michigan.

With over four decades of experience in architecture, design, and business development, Suzanne brings a breadth of experience in senior living, healthcare, and mixed-use development to the Spiezle team. As Director of Client Services, Suzanne is focused on building meaningful relationships with clients, owners, and operators.
A passionate researcher, Suzanne is always seeking to learn new techniques and create better design solutions. This has led to inspired innovations such as implementing the first modular Operating Room (OR) in Florida and working with patent owners to research healing treatments for Alzheimer's patients or using AI to transform architectural plans from CAD to REVIT/BIM.
Suzanne is member of the AIA National Design for Aging Advisory Board, the Women in Architecture founding committee, and the secretary of the Orlando Foundation for Architecture. An enthusiastic mentor of the next generation, she played a critical role in funding the Citylab-Orlando 2+2+2 graduate school program and the Orlando Foundation for Architecture. She is currently a part of the Urban Land Institute's Real Estate Diversity Initiative (REDI), working to increase diversity in the real estate industry.
She is the recipient of the Creating Legacies Award for Westminster Communities, the Distinguished Alumni Service Award from the University of Florida's College of Design Construction Planning, and the AIA Nils Schweizer Community Service Award from AIA Orlando. In her spare time, Suzanne can be found serving on numerous boards and committees, volunteering for charities, gardening, hosting events, and working out.
She earned her Bachelor of Design and Master of Architecture from the University of Florida, Gainesville.

As a leader who believes that change is necessary to continue business growth, Tom serves as the firm's Vice President of Administration and Chief Financial Officer. He is responsible for planning and managing Spiezle' s financial and administrative activities to help the firm expand its operational impact and execute its strategic growth initiatives.
Tom brings more than 25 years of diverse financial and operating experience in architecture, real estate, and construction. His ability to review potential acquisitions, determine their value and negotiate the merger has proven to be critical to the firm's recent growth. His expertise ranges from assisting in next generation transitioning, business modeling and Deltek software improvements have helped the firm's operations.
Tom is a strong supporter of the firm's Employee Stock Ownership Plan and works to educate the other employee owners about the benefits of employee ownership and how every employee can positively impact the firm's current culture and value. He is inspired by the quote, "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard."
Tom is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has served on various Boards and organizations supporting youth activities.

In his 20-year career at Spiezle, Todd has an integral part in establishing the Construction Administration department. He has worked on thousands of K12, higher education and senior living projects throughout the Tri-State area.
Todd is focused on further enhancing the quality of Spiezle's documentation. Along with his team, Todd has implemented several different initiatives that bring quality construction documentation to the forefront of the firm. His knowledge, accessibility, and ongoing lecture series have provided critical insights to the staff and have led to meaningful successes within the firm.
Todd resides in Richboro, PA with his wife and three children. When he is not on a construction site, he can be found on the golf course or traveling to the University of South Carolina or Pennsylvania State University to visit his older children while encouraging his youngest daughter to attend his alma mater.
Todd received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
Bill continues to be inspired by projects that affect people in many ways and is proud to be a part of designing spaces in healthcare. He regularly focuses on improving his design approach by delving into the minutiae of investigation, resolution, direction, and negotiation to enhance his professional career.
Bill earned his Vocational Industrial Education certificate in Architecture from Pennsylvania State University.
Bill's extensive background in healthcare planning and design, architecture, and project management has laid the foundation for his success in all aspects of the design process. His acute analytical mind allows Bill to deftly solve any obstacles that may arise during a project as he delivers consistently for clients. Bill takes inspiration from knowing that the designs he sees to completion will impact many people in a myriad of ways.
As the Director of Healthcare, he is responsible for leading teams in designing acute inpatient, outpatient and long term care facilities which include ambulatory surgical centers, imaging centers, urgent care centers, and medical office buildings. Attentive, methodical approaches to problem-solving have propelled Bill through innumerable project successes.
