David S. Tannenbaum

David S. Tannenbaum heads Stern Tannenbaum & Bell LLP's litigation department. Before co-founding the Firm, Mr. Tannenbaum was co-head of the Trial Department at the New York office of Duane Morris LLP for more than twelve years. Mr. Tannenbaum began his legal career as an associate at Shea & Gould, where he became a partner in 1992. Mr. Tannenbaum has more than 35 years of experience representing clients in a wide variety of complex commercial and business litigation matters, with particular emphasis on contract disputes, real estate, banking, securities, professional liability, sports and entertainment, petroleum marketing, and intellectual property litigation. Karen S. Frieman began her career as an associate at Shea & Gould, where she became the firm's youngest partner in 1993. Rosemary Halligan is a founding partner of Stern Tannenbaum & Bell LLP. Ms. Halligan started her career at Shea & Gould, and before co-founding the Firm, she was a partner at Duane Morris LLP. Ms. Halligan concentrates her practice in the commercial litigation field, focusing primarily on complex commercial litigation in areas including real estate, banking, insurance, partnership and shareholder disputes, professional liability, ERISA and trusts and estates law. Stephanie Korenman joined Stern Tannenbaum & Bell LLP in 2012. Ms. Korenman had previously been Executive Director and Senior Counsel of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, a senior associate of the Financial Markets and Securities Litigation groups of Duane Morris, LLP and an associate of Singer Frumento LLP. Ms. Korenman began her career at Robinson Brog Leinwand Greene Genovese & Gluck P.C. as an associate in its corporate group. Ms. Korenman is an accomplished broker-dealer compliance and regulatory attorney with extensive in-house and law firm experience handling litigations, arbitrations, SEC and/or FINRA regulatory investigations and enforcement proceedings. She regularly advises public companies and their executives, directors and affiliates regarding regulatory matters, corporate governance practices, SEC reporting and disclosure issues, enforcement matters, and securities transactions. She also counsels broker-dealers, investment advisers and hedge funds regarding registration, compliance, trading issues, litigation avoidance, disclosure policies and insider trading programs. At Morgan Stanley, she was senior counsel for the Executive Financial Services Department, where she managed the legal, transactional and advisory services for financial advisors and their corporate executive clients holding restricted, control or concentrated stock positions. Ms. Korenman is a graduate of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and New York University.

Stewart J. Stern is a founding partner of Stern Tannenbaum & Bell LLP and heads the Firm's real estate group. Previously, Mr. Stern was head of the Real Estate Department at the New York office of Duane Morris LLP for more than a decade. Mr. Stern has extensive experience in all aspects of real estate law and practice. His clients include some of the nation's largest real estate developers, investors and lenders, and he also has an active hospitality practice, representing well-known hotels, restaurants and nightclubs. A former certified public accountant, Mr. Stern practiced at a major international accounting firm before beginning his legal career at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP. Mr. Stern was the 1985 Valedictorian of Fordham Law School.
