Health & Safety Policies are a requirement under the Occupational Health and Safety Act for all Canadian organizations. The aim of the Health & Safety Policy is to effectively communicate a company's commitment to worker health and safety. The relationship between management and labour, community interests and technology all combine to play a part in determining how health and safety is viewed in the workplace.
