David Drexler attended the University of Tennessee at Martin and graduated in 1983. In 1988, he graduated from Memphis State University (University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law) with a Juris Doctor and became licensed to practice law in 1988.
Mr. Drexler has been with Stone, Higgs & Drexler since 1988 and became a Partner in the firm in 1992; his primary area of concentration is creditor representation for bankruptcy proceedings.

Mr. Higgs has spoken on topics such as FDCPA, consumer bankruptcy issues, and regularly lectures on collection and bankruptcy matters, including having spoken at the annual convention of the General Sessions Judges on the field of collections in Tennessee.
He received his BA from Southwestern at Memphis (now, Rhodes College) and Juris Doctor from Memphis State University (University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law), as well as completing the Institute on Comparative and International Law at Oxford University, England.
His interests include fitness sports, where he completed Florida Ford Ironman, Ultra Distance Running and more than 40 marathons.

Lisa N. Stanley was born and raised in Memphis and Germantown, Tennessee. She attended Houston High School and graduated in 1996, after which she obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Memphis in 2001. Lisa obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2005. Lisa has been an associate with Stone, Higgs & Drexler since November of 2006.
Lisa has handled matters in nearly every county in Tennessee, as well as several counties in Mississippi. She now appears in most Western Tennessee counties, as well as counties in Northern Mississippi.
Lisa is licensed to appear before all Tennessee and Mississippi state courts, as well as the District and Bankruptcy courts of the Western District of Tennessee and the Northern District of Mississippi. Lisa focuses her practice in commercial litigation, real estate litigation, entertainment litigation, collections litigation, as well as real estate closings and foreclosures.

Roger Stone attended Louisiana State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 1967. In 1970, he graduated from Memphis State University (University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law) with a Juris Doctor and became licensed to practice law in August of 1970. He began his legal career with the firm originally known as Pierce, Rice, Bratcher & Pierce. He spent the next 15 years with Pierce, Rice, Bratcher & Pierce becoming a partner after five years. In 1986 Mr. Stone, with George F. Higgs, formed the present firm. Subsequently, David E. Drexler became a partner.
Mr. Stone is authorized to practice in all courts of the state of Tennessee, the United States District Courts, United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.

Thomas W. McWaters attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Communication, with a focus in Sports Journalism, in 2015. After completing his undergraduate studies, McWaters returned home to Memphis, Tennessee and attended University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. He received his Juris Doctorate in 2018.
McWaters is licensed to practice law in the state of Tennessee. His areas of concentration include matters involving contractual disputes, collection of commercial and consumer debt, recovery of collateral, consumer bankruptcy on behalf of creditors, and closing of real estate transactions.
