Jason Casbourne

Jason has been with Swip Systems since 2001 and brings a wealth of knowledge to the team as lead architect. He has designed, developed and implemented custom systems in many different industries over the years, including payment processing, franchise management, manufacturing and distribution, medical document management, helicopter maintenance, and railcar maintenance systems, just to name a few. Jason works closely with our clients on custom software development and systems design that solve real business needs, from Windows-based applications that run on PCs, to web applications and mobile apps. In his free time, you'll often find Jason playing poker while enjoying a good cigar. As for his favorite food - Indian cuisine all the way!

Jean Swip - CFO, VP

Before joining Swip Systems in 1996 as a technical writer and software developer, Jean earned a degree in Civil Engineering and worked for the Illinois Department of Transportation for 5 years on various bridge and highway projects. Her passion for mathematics and problem solving made for an easy transition into the IT field and managing the financials at Swip. As the business grew, her focus naturally transitioned into accounting, human resources, and office administration. She also manages the financial for Guard911®, a life-saving mobile app for active shooter and emergency situations. In her personal time, Jean is actively involved with several charitable organizations and fundraising events. She enjoys spending time with her two children and attending their many activities, and loves running, boot camp, skiing, the beach, and hanging out with friends.

Tom Swip - CEO, President

Tom established Swip Systems in 1995 and has been providing IT and business automation solutions ever since. As a business owner himself, he's aware of the challenges and what's necessary to stay competitive … he started his first business at age 9, washing windows on Main Street in his hometown, and went on to own two more businesses by the time he was 16. Tom earned a degree in Industrial Engineering and later worked on the first-ever nationwide implementation of UPS package barcoding, the tablets that UPS drivers still carry today, and the nationwide wireless network also currently used in UPS trucks. In 2012, Tom founded Midwest Manufacturing Leaders to help manufacturers come together and grow their businesses, and is currently Vice President of Guard911®, a life-saving mobile.
