FISS provides legal services for immigrants and foreign nationals living in Japan as well as cross-border matters. We also assist Japanese clients in resolving their disputes involving foreign nationals and supporting foreign nationals to visit, relocate, or work in Japan... Founded in 2011, the Tokyo Public Law Office Foreign Nationals and International Service Section ("FISS") specializes in providing legal services to clients with international roots and overseas interests. Our attorneys are experts in representing foreign nationals in English and Mandarin. For other languages, we provide interpreters specialized in the subject matter... We have been receiving dozens of new consultations every month. We pride ourselves in playing our part in increasing access to legal services for all, explaining their rights, increasing their understanding of Japanese law, and encouraging them to assert their rights. We regularly run seminars for foreign embassies in Tokyo.
