Jack and I started Technica Editorial Services 31 years ago. We headed south from NYC to North Carolina, away from the hustle and bustle of city life, leaving behind our publishing house jobs (and steady income!!) and setting up shop in a two-bedroom apartment in Carrboro. We had no idea that all these years later (and piles of paper from our early years copyediting), we would still be here - with nearly 50 full-time employees in nine states (covering three U.S. time zones), as well as one colleague in Butzbach, Germany. Through the many economic ups and downs of the U.S. and global economies, and with all the technological changes that have impacted the publishing industry, the one thing we have found to be our greatest and most constant asset is our people - and their dedication to the work and success of our clients.
