AJ De Saint Phalle

Before joining the company, AJ worked for 12 years at a family logging business and gained experience in harvesting, land management, restoration, and heavy machinery operation. This eventually led AJ to relocate to Central Oregon where he found a niche in excavation. AJ has been working solely on excavation projects since 2016 and is currently completing his degree through Oregon State University in Natural Resources, with a specialty in landscape analysis. AJ spends his time between the valley and Bend skiing and filming professional ski films. He enjoys winter and summer recreation with his wife and snow dogs.

Anthony Faller

Anthony began his construction career at a young age working for his dad during summer breaks in High School. In 2013, Anthony began working for Taylor Northwest as a General Laborer/Operator and was promoted within the company to a Foreperson, working all over Central Oregon from grading to pipe installation projects. Anthony has since been promoted to Superintendent and manages several excavation, data center and private projects. Anthony and his family like spending their time camping, hunting, and boating.

Aram Boyd

Aram began his construction career in 1999 as a General Laborer/Pipelayer and continued to become a Lead Grade Checker for a variety of projects including highways, airports, subdivisions, and sport complexes. Aram has been a Taylor Northwest team member since 2009, where he is constantly acquiring new field and leadership skills. Currently, he is a Project Engineer and Site Superintendent for several large sitework projects. Aram aims to learn something new every day and help everyone on the team be successful. When away from work, Aram enjoys spending time with family and experiencing everything the Central Oregon outdoor lifestyle has to offer.

Ben Cavallaro

Ben began working for Taylor Northwest as one of the original employees as a General Laborer and Pipelayer. Ben has been a part of many projects around Central Oregon, Washington, and Idaho, where he has gained tremendous experience and leadership skills. Ben quickly advanced from Labor/Operator, to Foreperson and Superintendent, and is currently running some of the most complex, large-scale projects at Taylor Northwest. Ben and his family enjoy boating, fishing, and swimming, as well as various 4H projects.

Casey Huettl

Casey began his construction career in 1991 as a General Laborer and quickly knew he had a passion for the work. Over the years, Casey was given the opportunity to take on various leadership roles and has been involved with the construction of many of the Central Oregon and Central Washington destination resorts, as well as ODOT highway projects. Casey joined the Taylor Northwest team in 2015 as a Project Manager and excels in building strong relationships in the communities he works with. Casey has also been involved with the traditional design-bid-build and CM/GC projects for the City of Bend. Casey and his wife can be found at the lake on any weekend in the summertime with family and friends. Casey is also very proud his son who has followed him in the construction field and currently works for Taylor Northwest as an Operator.

Chad Coonse

Chad began his career in construction at a very young age where he excelled as a Laborer and Pipelayer. He began working for Taylor Northwest in 2010 and has had the opportunity to participate in many projects with a primary focus on deep pipeline projects. As a Superintendent, Chad and his crew are pivotal to Taylor Northwest's operations and consistently complete project on time and within budget in a safe and productive manner. Chad and his family enjoy traveling, golfing, and spending time with friends.

Chad Swindle

Chad began his career in construction as a General Laborer and Pipelayer. He joined the Taylor Northwest team as a Field GPS Technician and Foreperson and was quickly promoted to Superintendent, then to project manager and estimator, where he managed several large projects, including excavation, municipal and private work. After a few years, Chad was promoted to Senior Vice President and is now responsible for the management, procurement, and administration for Taylor Northwest. Chad and his family are very active in the community and enjoy attending sporting events, raising livestock, and all the other opportunities Central Oregon has to offer.

Chris Koski

Chris developed his career in Wisconsin and is now a Project Manager and Estimator, focused on heavy civil projects, including FHWA roads and bridge projects and major system interchange projects, as well as large scale site development projects. Chris has his Bachelor and Master's degree in Environmental and Civil Engineering and has over 20-years of experience in site civil, interstate bridges, box culverts, MSE walls, mainline paving, grading, and drainage.

Dan Cram

During his 29+ year career, Dan has had the opportunity to help people in various areas, including logging, construction, farming, lumber milling, as well as general industry. Dan spent several years as a Safety Compliance Officer for OR-OSHA, which gave him a better understanding of the details behind specific rules and regulations. As OR-OSHA's Senior Safety Compliance Officer, one of Dan's primary responsibilities was conducting fatality investigations. This role developed into a true compassion and emphasis for the details of safety. Dan's passion is to help others understand that safety saves lives. Dan and his family like hunting, camping, and kayaking. They also enjoy a peaceful night at home listening to music with a cold beverage.

Dave Henneman

Job Titles:
  • Project Manager
Dave is a Project Manager with 15-years of experience in the construction industry. He has managed projects ranging from mass transit light rail construction in Utah, remote blasting projects in Alaska, to building new schools right here in Central Oregon. His diverse background makes him qualified to manage a wide range of projects and various contract types. Dave has a focus on private and local municipal projects where he can utilize his communication skills and experiences to enhance projects and continually deliver projects on time and within budget. Dave, his lifelong partner-in-crime and three dogs enjoy outdoor recreation including mountain biking, skiing, hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, rafting, and the local world class micro-brews. They love to travel and are always planning their next adventure.

Debi Jones

After pursuing many avenues from co-owning of a restaurant in Hawaii to co-owning and bookkeeping for a large Central Oregon home building and design company, Debi began working for a heavy highway contractor doing payroll and many HR duties. In 2019, she joined the Taylor Northwest team as a Payroll Administrator. Debi is an avid Disney fan and enjoys spending time with her family and dogs.

Eric Normen

Eric is a licensed CPA who came to Taylor Northwest in 2019 after working 4-years in public accounting. He works closely with the accounting team and management on all day-to-day accounting needs for the company. Eric graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in accounting. He enjoys skiing, fishing, and running throughout central Oregon.

Greg Gustafson

Early in Greg's mechanics career he worked for Hessel Tractor, where he gained an immense amount of knowledge and experience, and numerous endorsements as a Master Mechanic. In 2010, Greg joined the Taylor Northwest team as a Mechanical Lead, performing maintenance in the field and shop facilities. Greg was promoted to Maintenance Manager and is responsible for all heavy equipment maintenance, as well as the management of all shop, and mechanic personnel and facilities.

Ian Fahey

Ian began his career in the construction inspection field in 2001, focusing on heavy civil infrastructure projects for various municipal, state, and federal agencies across the Pacific Northwest. He later joined the Taylor Northwest team in 2018 with a goal of further advancing the materials divisions in quality, production, sales, and marketing. In 2020, Ian was promoted to the role of Project Manager/Estimator and is again focusing on civil infrastructure projects for both public and private sector developments across Central Oregon. Outside of work, Ian enjoys all of Oregon's offerings with friends and family, from fishing on the coast to bird hunting in Eastern Oregon, and all the outdoor dining and concert spaces in between.

James Hill

James began his career in construction at a very young age and excelled in operating various pieces of equipment. James began working for Taylor Northwest in 2009 and has had the opportunity to be a part of many projects, primarily involving deep pipeline projects. James' experience and leadership skills allowed him to become the Superintendent he is today. He and his family can often be found in the woods riding ATV's.

Jason Lafaver

Jason started his construction career as an entry level Laborer. Through hard work, dedication, and a passion for civil construction, he advanced rapidly through the company serving the following positions: Pipelayer, Foreperson, Superintendent, Project Manager/Estimator, Operations Manager, and is currently the Senior Vice President of Operations. Jason and his family are involved in several local event and sport programs.

Jeremy Nelson

Jeremy began working in excavation in 2002 part time while serving in the Navy. After completing his time in the military Jeremy found his passion for heavy civil construction, working on site preparation projects completing dig outs, as well as excavation and backfilling of utilities. Jeremy came onboard with Taylor Northwest in 2017 as a laborer/operator working on numerous grade crews. Jeremy has rapidly progressed within the company due to his hard work, communication and leadership and is currently a supervisor focusing on large commercial projects for Taylor Northwest. Jeremy and his family enjoy spending time hiking, hunting, and mountain biking.

Jesse Huber

Jesse just moved to Central Oregon after being based out of Louisville, KY and working across the Midwest. Jesse has 25+ combined years of experience including civil site design, road design, GPS surveying, conventional surveying / construction staking and machine control file building. His experience also includes construction management and estimating. Jesse has managed projects for fossil fuel fired power generating stations, DOT work, refineries, heavy rail bridge projects and Corps of Engineer dams. Outside of work Jesse enjoys all the outdoor activities from snowboarding to mountain biking and camping with his family.

Jesse Lucero

Jesse got his start in construction while working at a young age as a Pipelayer. Jesse progressed into operating equipment and became a mainline Excavator Operator, and Dozer/Grader Operator. Jesse also spent a considerable amount of time in the timber industry running heavy equipment. He had a primary focus on grading equipment while in the woods and was tasked with building new logging haul roads, as well as maintaining them through the rough environment. Jesse joined the Taylor Northwest team in 2014 as a General Labor and Operator. His operating ability and knowledge was quickly recognized and rewarded with a promotion to Foreperson in charge of his own grading crew. Jesse was rapidly promoted to Superintendent shortly thereafter and is currently managing all of Taylor Northwest grading crews and resources today. Jesse and his family enjoy hunting, fishing, archery, and camping.

Joanne Maixner

Joanne has a diverse work experience, including a credit agency, finance company and a brokerage firm before going back to school to get a degree in accounting. She then went to work for a publishing company for 14 years where she started out in A/R Collections and was later promoted to the Inventory Control position. In 2018, she joined the Taylor Northwest team in an accounts' payable position.

Joe Baxter

Joe began his career in construction as a Material Handler for an electrician company. In 2011, he started as a Laborer and quickly worked his way up to Safety Director for a mining company, earning a Pacific Northwest Minor of the year award. Joe joined the Taylor Northwest team in September of 2021 and couldn't be prouder of the people he gets to work with. When he is not "Safety Joe," he enjoys spending any time he can out in the woods sharing his passion for hunting and the great outdoors with his family and friends.

Joe Delance

In 2015, Joe began his career with Taylor Northwest as a Driller. Throughout the years, he learned to operate various machines and worked as a General Laborer. A few years later, Joe began managing the aggregate division, where he provides support to rock crushers, drillers, and the Portay Quarry. Joe's hands-on experience and dedication to Taylor Northwest has allowed him to be successful in his current role as the Aggregates Manager. He and his family have a love for agriculture and spend most of their time raising horses and cows. The DeLance's are active in sports, 4-H, rodeo, and have a strong passion for giving back to the community.

Joe Stenkamp

Joe began working as a Laborer but excelled in the excavation industry focusing on water distribution and wastewater collection systems, as well as the residential excavation process. Joe joined the Taylor Northwest team as a Field Laborer and continued to grow with the company (obtaining the roles of Foreperson and Superintendent). Joe's field experience, coupled with his knowledge of company policy and procedure, safe work practices, and OSHA/MSHA rules and regulations provided him a solid base to become the Taylor Northwest Safety Director. In this role, Joe is supported by two additional Safety Officers and all site Superintendents. Joe's commitment to safety, team building, and instruction helps him maintain a safety focused culture within the company. Joe and his family stay active in the community and partake in all activities that Central Oregon has to offer.

Joel "Dude" Aylor

"Dude" began logging at age of 8 with his father and grandfather and eventually took over a successful logging business in 1995. His innate ability to recognize what needs to be done along with his ability to build a positive workplace continue to serve him well. Dude began working for Taylor Northwest as a Project Engineer prior to his college graduation. Currently, Dude's responsibilities include LEED updates, project management, commissioning/closeout documentation, administration, QA/QC, design and estimating. Dude and his wife have two adult children, and two grandchildren! Dude is an adventure seeker, which includes being on the lake with friends and family, snowmobiling, rafting, and body surfing on a tropical beach. If you can't find him there, he is either hunting, coming back from hunting, or thinking about the next hunt!

Justin Barden

Justin began his career in construction as a General Laborer and Pipelayer during his high school summer months. Justin is the Vice President of Procurement with nineteen-years of demonstrated experience in the construction industry. Pre-construction services are Justin's specialty, including scoping, estimating, constructability review, value engineering, and alternative procurement methods. Justin is a third generation Central Oregonian and currently resides in the area with his college sweetheart and two children. He and his family enjoy traveling, sports, and boating during the summer - and is the reigning champion for the annual Taylor Northwest Pontoon Races.

Levi Mitchem

Levi began his construction career as a Laborer and Pipelayer. Levi started with Taylor Northwest in 2015 and he has participated in many projects focusing on pipeline, residential subdivisions, and data center projects. Levi's experience and leadership skills have allowed him to become the Superintendent he is today. He and his crew are pivotal to Taylor Northwest's operations and consistently complete projects on time and within budget, in a safe and productive manner. Levi and his family can often be found fishing the local lakes and rivers in their spare time.

Marty Johnson

Marty has more than 16-years of experience in heavy civil construction and managing complex projects including design-build, roadway, underground utilities, drainage, pump stations, heavy rail, and mass excavation. His primary responsibility is estimating various bid-build projects and helping manage design-build pursuits. As a native to Central Oregon - Marty and his family are no stranger to the outdoors where they enjoy skiing, camping, hiking, fishing, and numerous other activities.

Meaghan Larkin

Meaghan began her professional career as a Payroll Specialist in Central Oregon. Her hard work, determination, and knowledge of corporate liability and litigation led to several promotions from Lead Recruiter, Payroll Supervisor, and now Risk Management. In 2021, Meaghan accepted a position with Taylor Northwest as a Staff Accountant and assists the safety team with her risk management expertise. Meaghan grew up in multiple parts of the country, which has allowed her to learn on the go and adapt well to change. She enjoys working on house projects, hiking, camping, watching Disney movies and traveling the world. If she is with her pups and husband, she is happy.

Nathan Gilbert

Nathan began his heavy civil construction career as a Project Engineer in 2018 prior to receiving his Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering Management from Oregon State University. He has managed road and bridge projects in the Willamette Valley, gaining experience in excavation, grading, drainage, sewer, concrete, and bridge construction. Nathan joined the Taylor Northwest team at the beginning of 2023, jumping right into irrigation projects for various irrigation districts in Central Oregon. He enjoys the challenges that projects present and being able to work through and resolve each challenge by building productive and lasting relationships with the construction team. Nathan grew up in Central Oregon, spent six years in the valley and has now moved back to Central Oregon to raise his family. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two children along with taking advantage of Oregon's great opportunities for hunting and fishing.

Nathan Rogers

Nathan is one of our Construction Engineers with 14-years of experience in the construction industry. As a project management professional, he is skilled in construction services from cost estimating and construction management through project closeout. Nathan earned his Civil Engineering degree from Oregon State University. He enjoys bicycling, hiking, camping, fishing and all the other opportunities Central Oregon has to offer with his family.

Robert Gibbons

With a Construction Engineering Management degree from Oregon State, Robert approaches construction projects with the goal of building long lasting relationships. He excels by providing transparency during the construction process to the construction team and stakeholders. Robert grew up in central Oregon and has established roots in the area since his honorable discharge from the United States Coast Guard. Robert, his family, and their Goberian dog enjoy going on fishing trips, exploring the mountains of Oregon and winter sport activities.

Rod Kirkpatrick

Rod started his construction career in Central Oregon in the early 1980's and was quickly attracted to running heavy equipment. Rod has become well-known in the construction industry, not only for his ability to run equipment, but for his creativity, forward thinking, and leadership skills. Rod was instrumental in implementing the GPS systems that Taylor Northwest utilizes today, and is currently working as a project Superintendent. His ability to think ahead and maintain a progressive view of construction has allowed the company to excel and produce higher quality projects faster and more efficiently. In Rod's spare time he enjoys spending time with family and is an avid golfer. Rod is looking forward to retirement and travel in his near future.

Ross Huntsucker

Ross was raised in a family surrounded by long time construction operators and loggers in Oregon. Ross has been a pivotal part of the team since he joined Taylor Northwest in 2012. Ross is well known as an exceptional operator of large grading equipment and has a mind and vision to start and complete large complex grading projects. Ross is currently Taylor Northwest's mass grading supervisor. Ross and his family enjoy all that Central Oregon has to offer.

Ryan Kirkpatrick

Ryan was born and raised in Bend and grew up in a large construction family. In addition to heavy equipment, he has worked on ranches in Wyoming and Central Oregon. In his time at Taylor Northwest, he has worked on the grade crew as well as using GPS equipment at various jobsites. Ryan is currently Taylor Northwest's GPS and Modeling Supervisor and responsible for all GPS related items in addition to creating and dissecting surface models and quantity takeoffs. Ryan enjoys biking, golfing, fishing, skiing, and spending time with his large extended family.

Scott Ross

While in college, Scott began his career with Taylor Northwest as a Laborer and worked on a variety of projects from laying pipe to grading parking lots and installing "gravel pave." After completing his accounting degree at the University of Oregon, he returned to his hometown of Bend and put his field experience to use on the accounting side of Taylor Northwest. He worked his way from Assistant Controller to Controller and finally to Chief Financial Officer.

Shawn Morris

Shawn began working in preventative maintenance, driving truck, and hauling equipment at the age of 18 for an equipment rental yard on the Oregon Coast. Shawn came to Taylor Northwest in late 2018 and began running the fuel and lube truck completing services and general mechanic work within the shop. Shortly after, Shawn took over the Taylor Northwest Preventative Maintenance Program, servicing all pickups, equipment, and highway trucks. In addition, Shawn is responsible for all truck dispatching and lowboy moves, and supports the Bull Springs maintenance shop, including ordering a large portion of parts. Shawn likes to spend his free time with his family and their 3 dogs. He enjoys the Central Oregon outdoors, shooting and just being out in the woods.

Valarie Zavala

Valarie started her construction administrative career in 1997 and has held various titles including Accounts Payable Clerk, Accounts Receivable Clerk, and Payroll/HR Administrator. She started working for Taylor Northwest in 2015 as a Payroll/HR Administrator and worked her way up to the HR Manager/EEO Officer. She enjoys going on new adventures with her husband and spending time with family.
