The winery was founded by Vilmos Thummerer and his wife, Katalin, who continue to manage the business. The entire leadership team consists of family members - their three children, grandchildren, and daughter-in-law. Thanks to the variety of tasks, everyone found their area of passion. We believe that without our 30 dedicated employees and the expertise of our head winemaker, József Lamport, since 2004, this harmony would not be possible... We combine traditional methods with the latest technology. Most white wines are produced using reductive technology and controlled fermentation, but we also offer barrel-aged specialties (e.g., Chardonnay battonage, Egri Csillag Grand Superior). Our red wines are fermented on skins for 2-4 weeks, then aged in oak barrels for 1.5-2 years (e.g., Bikavér Classicus, Bikavér Superior, Bikavér Grand Superior), followed by at least six months of bottle aging.
