Dr. Tom Baker is a Periodontist who has lived and practiced in San Francisco for over 30 years. He graduated from the University of Missouri at Kansas City Dental School in 1973. Dr. Baker served 4 years as a dentist in the United States Navy. While in the Navy he had a one year general practice residency and a one year periodontal fellowship. His periodontal residency was at the Wadsworth Veterans Administration Hospital in Los Angeles '77-79.
Dr. Baker is recognized for exceptional patient care and communication. He offers over 30 years of experience helping patients save teeth by diagnosing and treating periodontal disease in the most minimally invasive way appropriate with the use of instruments such as the perioscope and microscope. These state of the art instruments allow Dr. Baker to treat patients in a less invasive, more precise manner while allowing for less to no post-operative discomfort.

It is important that every patient have a full mouth set of x-rays so Dr. Baker can to do a complete examination. We can also take your x-rays at an additional fee if you do not have them. If you have a general dentist, we will request your x-rays from them first, if we take a set here, we will send your dentist a copy of your x-rays and a letter explaining your periodontal health and the treatment planned in our office.
