Alexxys Montalvo

Alexxys joined TURNERBATSON as an intern architect upon completing an Auburn University Urban Studio Internship with the firm. For her, it's all about the details. She enjoys participating in every stage of the design process in order to bring each client's vision to life. Alexxys' short-term goal is to become a licensed architect as she continues to learn from her peers within the office. Her positive attitude and her desire for excellence makes Alexxys the perfect fit for our team.

Anne-Marie Gianoudis

Job Titles:

Anne-Marie joined the TURNERBATSON team in 2015 with 15 years of interior design experience. As an Associate, her goal is to create environments where people are happy, healthy, productive and inspired. To ensure that her clients' visions are best executed, Anne-Marie excels at asking the right questions, researching the project, and being a good listener and collaborator. Her ability to develop client relationships based on respect, trust, and confidence has been the key to her success as a designer. Skilled at creating beautiful designs under a variety of budgets, styles, timeframes, and requirements, Anne-Marie guides her clients through every phase of the design process. Anne-Marie adores spending time with her husband and two sons, exploring nature as well as the hottest new restaurants. An avid foodie and traveler, she is always seeking new inspirations and experiences from around the world. She has also served on the IIDA Alabama Chapter Board as President, the IIDA International Board of Trustees as a Vice President, and as Chair of the IIDA Foundation.

Beth MacLeod - CFO

Job Titles:
  • Chief Financial Officer
Beth manages the company's financial and accounting responsibilities. She also handles employee benefits and acts as an HR leader within our firm. As a full-time 30A beach resident, she enjoys long walks in the State Forest and spending time with her toes in the sand. She loves to travel and is currently in the process of planning her next trip.

Bob Shoulders

Job Titles:
  • Director of Construction Administration
As the Director of Construction Administration, Bob wears many hats for our firm. Having more than 40 years of experience in the construction industry, Bob's expertise in management and leading projects allows him to be a key player on the project team. His role includes reviewing drawings and design elements for constructability, observing and managing the construction process from the beginning to the end of each project, visiting job sites, and attending project meetings to ensure that all aspects of the clients' expectations are being maintained and met. Outside of the office, Bob's most important accomplishment is being happily married for 34 years to his wife, Carol, and growing their family. They have three grown sons and three grandchildren. He has a love for sports, especially Auburn football, and has officiated football for more than 37 years. When he's not on the sidelines, you can find him enjoying activities with his grandchildren or spending time at his home church.

Dave Reese

During his 30+ years at TURNERBATSON, Dave has built a reputation for leading projects by combining his vision for innovative and functional design with practical, budget-focused solutions. Over the years, he has developed lasting relationships with clients, general contractors, and contributing professionals. As President, Dave is particularly proud of the experienced, enthusiastic staff at TURNERBATSON and works to develop a culture of encouragement, teamwork, and service excellence. Dave enjoys church activities, "piddling" with woodwork and home improvements, and spending weekends at the lake with his wife and three young kids.

Ellis Taylor

Job Titles:
  • Director of 3D Visualization
As the Director of 3D Visualization, Ellis coordinates the creation of 3D models of interiors and exteriors for use in renderings, animations, VR demonstrations, and walkthroughs. He takes pride in knowing that his role allows him to help coworkers and clients visualize their goals for their completed building before construction has begun. Having these capabilities ensures that our designs align with the owner's vision helping maintain a cohesive and well-designed process through the remaining phases of the project. Ellis enjoys collecting model cars, working on home improvement projects, and customizing his car's performance and appearance. He calls cars his "second love" and attends several car shows a year with his son Jordan.

Eric Berg

As a principal and vice president of the firm, Eric's role at TURNERBATSON varies from supporting our talented staff to managing projects. His favorite part of being a leader at TURNERBATSON is working with our team. Every day our team gets to experience these attributes whether it be collaborating together or a simple gesture toward another staff member or one of our clients. Our profession can be challenging and stressful, but without fail, you will come across many smiling faces walking through the office - with someone always willing to step up and offer assistance. It's these attitudes that allow Eric and our team the opportunity to create first-class processes that provide unique working and learning environments for others. Seeing our clients' reaction when they experience our buildings or spaces for the first time and the appreciation they show for our collective efforts always keeps him coming back for more. Eric's favorite thing to do outside of the office is to spend time with his family. With three active boys, Eric and his wife seem to constantly be on the go finding themselves at soccer games, playing cards or games, watching a movie together, or traveling. It's these attitudes that allow Eric and our team the opportunity to create first-class processes that provide unique working and learning environments for others. Seeing our clients' reaction when they experience our buildings or spaces for the first time and the appreciation they show for our collective efforts always keeps him coming back for more. Eric's favorite thing to do outside of the office is to spend time with his family. When time permits, he enjoys reading a good book - especially books about historical figures/events or the construction of architectural/engineering monuments. He still plans to learn how to play the drums that have been sitting in his garage for 20 years collecting dust - a life-long goal that has been put on hold for far too long!

Gary Larson

Hal Bishop

As a Senior Associate at TURNERBATSON, Hal manages a team of talented architects, designers, and BIM specialists. With over 30 years of experience, he serves as a mentor and advisor to the next generation of leaders. Hal values the importance of each project and enjoys the ever-changing world of architecture. His passion for client relationships and accurate construction documents make him a natural leader within our firm. Hal enjoys mobile video games, carpentry, home renovations, and traveling. He also serves as an officer within his church, teaching Sunday school, playing clarinet in the orchestra, and attending Bible studies and home groups.

Hannah Creech

Project Architect Hannah Creech joined the TURNERBATSON team upon completing Auburn University's Urban Studio in downtown Birmingham. She grew to love the Birmingham community and experienced the vitality for the next generation of professionals, especially in architecture and design. Hannah grew up in Selma, Alabama, and always admired and appreciated the historic buildings throughout her hometown. That interest, fueled by her passion for both science and design, led her to a career that allows her to make a lasting impact in people's lives through built environments. Hannah enjoys baking sweets and hosting her friends and family (sweet tea included). She loves weekend trips with her friends, DIY projects, and all things Christmas.

Holly Gallagher

As a Senior BIM Specialist, Holly works directly with the architects and interior designers to produce construction documents for all project types. Throughout the last 15 years, Holly has used her knowledge in modeling, detailing, and noting to provide the best product to the client. No matter what role Holly plays at the office, she is known for her willingness to help others. Her positive attitude, patience, and technical expertise make her a valuable asset to the firm. Holly is a devoted mom of three kids. She loves to read, crochet, cook, craft and serve in the preschool ministry at her church.

Jamie Collins

As a Senior Associate and team leader, Jamie strives to provide the best possible built environment for TURNERBATSON's clients while developing and improving relationships with the owners, contractors, and employees he works with every day. With more than 30 years of experience, Jamie loves having an actual product to be proud of, whether it be a sketch on a napkin or a beautiful completed building. Jamie's greatest joy and adventure is raising his son Henry with his wife, Sara. When they aren't exploring local streams, taking walks to nearby construction sites, or collecting rocks and acorns with Henry, they stay busy renovating their 100-year-old Craftsman style house.

Ken Lavender

  • Senior BIM Specialist
As a Senior BIM and CAD Specialist, Ken produces drawings ranging from schematic plans for client presentations to complete sets of construction drawings. During the design phase, he constructs and manages 3D models within Revit in order to provide the client a first glance of the final product. When he's not providing our clients a first look, he enjoys reading, watching movies, playing board games and video games. As a new homeowner, he also spends his free time making improvements and remodeling.

Maggie Reynolds

Maggie knew from a young age that she had a future in the creative field. She held an interest in building toys and an eagerness to assist her dad with home improvement projects. Architecture became the outlet for Maggie to combine her creative passion with her desire to make a difference in her community. Maggie graduated from Auburn University with a double major in Environmental Design and Global Studies. These degrees allowed her to study the built environment through a "systems thinking" design method - combining interactions between people, culture, and their geographical, sociological, and economical environments. As an Intern Architect, Maggie's goal is to challenge herself to keep learning and to design spaces that are adaptable and impactful. Maggie enjoys visiting restaurants with friends, taking evening walks, tackling home improvement challenges, creating art projects, and planning weekend trips to Auburn!

Mallie Bromberg - CMO

As Marketing Director, Mallie's responsibility is to lead overall brand awareness of the firm and share the team's talent and expertise with the clients and community we serve. What matters most to Mallie is showcasing the deep passion and intentionality our team puts into every project. She loves connecting with clients and is excited to continue to broaden her knowledge and gain leadership skills at TURNERBATSON. Mallie enjoys traveling to new places, near and far. One of the most important things to her is spending quality time with family, friends, and her beloved Golden Retriever, JR.

Mary-Claire Brown

As an Associate, Interior Designer Mary-Claire assists in the initial design concepts, construction documentation, finish, and furniture selections for her clients. She uses her background in graphic design to elevate each interior through inspiring sketches, drawings, or models, translating clients' visions into a reality. Mary-Claire loves to paint, read, or catch up on her favorite Netflix shows. She loves to travel and uses her free time to explore new destinations with friends.

Melissa Anderson

Melissa is a marketing consultant at TURNERBATSON. After 6 years with the firm, she has taken a hiatus to stay at home to help raise her young children. She has played a key role in brand and logo development and with client proposals, presentations, and event planning. A foodie at heart, Melissa loves sweets, new cuisines, and planning what's for dinner. She enjoys spending time with her husband and children, is an avid fan of holidays, crafts, and parties, and loves to travel to new places.

Melissa Sones

Melissa has had a passion for design from a young age. She recalls giving her parents a magic marker drawing on a napkin of renovation ideas for their house. Over time, she has learned how impactful an environment is to its occupants and their wellness. As an Interior Designer, she creates dynamic spaces for comfort and well-being. She loves connecting with her clients and learning about new products and sources. A native of Grenada, Mississippi, Melissa enjoys hosting and hanging out with friends, planning trips, traveling, watching movies, doing anything creative, and finding the sweet treats around Birmingham.

Michael Goswick

As an Associate, Michael works on all aspects of our building projects. Michael uses his level of experience and detailed-centered personality to create a variety of projects. Aside from his day-to-day tasks, Michael takes pride in working with a dedicated team that shares his passion for building and a love for our company. Michael is a family man who may be on the floor having playtime with his two daughters. He enjoys reading books ranging from westerns, thrillers, and classics to biographies and history.

Steven Sanchez

As the Director of BIM, Steven is always learning about new ways to use technology. His love for his trade allows him to create, update, and maintain the ever-changing BIM standards as well as teach, train, and help fellow employees understand Revit. His expertise in these programs allows Steven to work with project architects and interior designers to produce construction documents and prepare drawings, renderings, and models for presentation to clients. Steven's favorite hobby is playing video games. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends, grilling, running, watching movies and shows with his wife, going to concerts, and collecting records.

Taylor Snuggs

As TURNERBATSON's Studio Coordinator, Taylor demonstrates her passion for serving others by assisting in all aspects of the design profession while also cultivating relationships with clients and vendors. Taylor loves working in an environment that thrives on collaboration. It allows her to help the team members do what they do the best. Her goal is to provide help however she can for the project teams. Taylor enjoys local parks with her husband and son and spending time with her extended family. She has a passion to teach individuals and couples about "financial freedom" through leading financial small groups at her church.

Wil Bradford

As an Associate at TURNERBATSON, Wil enjoys the chance he has to better the lives of both the user and owner of a building or space through design while creating great relationships during the process. Wil uses sketching and modeling to visualize and effectively communicate to others. He enjoys developing projects that are rooted with a strong design aesthetic and challenges himself to try something new on every project. Wil loves to spend time at the lake fishing, wakeboarding, or relaxing in the water. He also enjoys challenging his inner competitiveness through his Saturday morning basketball league and the company softball team.
