HARJIT GREWAL

Harjit is an award-winning expert in British and Canadian business, investment, and immigration law and manages all the legal, settlement, and regulatory requirements of foreign individuals planning to start a business or invest in the UK or Canada under various business and investment programs. Born and educated in the United Kingdom where he obtained his LLB (Bachelor of Law) and LLM (Master of Law), Harjit practiced British immigration law for five years with the respected Immigration Advisory Service as a member of the Law Society of England & Wales and the Office for the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC). After moving to Canada he secured the prestigious ICCRC designation to provide accredited Canadian visa and immigration services. Harjit's experience with UK and Canadian immigration law, places him in a unique position when assisting our international clients in moving either to Canada or the UK.

Headed by Nitin Kumar, who is certified in Private Placement Exempt Market proficiency by the IFSE Institute of the Investment Funds Institute of Canada and New Venture Finance by the University of Maryland, VanLonChan is a team of entrepreneur consultants, lawyers, and accountants. Nitin was born in North India and lived in Chandigarh - ‘The City Beautiful' - where he obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College (PEC) Chandigarh. He worked as a Design Engineer, designing products for global brands such as Mercedes-Benz, ACDelco, Sunjac, and Carrefour. Prior to entering consulting services, Nitin studied a business course in Canada and worked on EU projects in the UK. While working on EU Projects in London (UK), Nitin assisted a local management consulting startup in business development and assisted its Startup and SME clients by preparing business plans and raising finance from the London Development Agency (LDA). He also acted as a Volunteer Business Adviser for the Young Enterprise Program in London and assisted a team of young college students in business planning. He is fluent in English, Hindi, Punjabi, and conversational French and since 2007, he has offered consulting to Canadian and international startups, SMEs, and organizations, including the ACP project of Health BC and TELUS, a major Canadian telecom company. Apart from consulting, Nitin worked closely with the Canadian Cancer Society for strategic planning of spreading cancer awareness and fundraising among the South Asian community. He is also a recipient of the prestigious "Nehru Humanitarian Award" from The University of British Columbia (UBC) for his outstanding community service. Nitin also acts as an advisor for entrepreneurship courses at local universities and educational institutes and acts as a mentor for Futurpreneur, Canada. He has experience of offering consulting to entrepreneurs supported by Government Funded initiatives including Women Entrepreneurs and Entrepreneurs with Disabilities.
