TURN KEY SOLUTIONS - Key Persons

Brandon Barrett

Job Titles:
  • Member of the Leadership Team
  • Vice President of Operations
Since joining the team at Turn Key Solutions in 2008 Brandon has held the roles of Project Manager, Technical Services Manager and became VP of Operations in 2018. Brandon's current role involves integrating the internal departments in a way that provides the highest level of service to our clients. He is instrumental in converting the company owners' vision for Turn Key Solutions into reality. He has been deeply involved in the design and implementation of the data center environment used for private cloud hosting, backups, and VoIP, as well as in developing policies and procedures used by our team to deliver consistent and effective results. Brandon has also played key roles in projects for our Healthcare, Government, and SMB clients that range from the implementation of Virtualization, Enterprise Storage, Hyperconvergence, complex Wide Area Networks, multi-layered security, disaster recovery planning, migrations to private cloud and Microsoft 365, PACS systems, EMR, and highly available connectivity solutions for remote cardiac telemetry. Brandon will tell you that by far, the part of his role he enjoys the most is the opportunity to have recruited, mentored, and trained dozens of technicians throughout the years and identify those with strong leadership potential for key positions in the organization. Prior to his tenure at Turn Key Solutions, Brandon did not start out in the IT field early on, but in 2001 while working for the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office, a mentor spotted his potential and started him on his career in the IT field. While there, Brandon was responsible for telephony, networking, server infrastructure, and security. He led many projects to modernize the IT department, including implementing the first Storage Area Network, moving servers off-site to a remote COLO facility for improved availability, and upgrades from Frame Relay circuits to SONET and MetroEthernet service for site-to-site connectivity. He also implemented the first internally managed firewall and IDS solutions for the organization. Brandon was heavily involved in Mobile Data for Uniform Patrol and Detectives divisions, disaster recovery planning and response with training from FEMA, and participated in several local and regional committees focused on different aspects of Public Safety technology. He held various leadership roles within the IT team during his tenure there. Brandon is a parent to two young adults, both of whom are beginning promising careers of their own. Having spent many years where all his free time was spent traveling from one youth athletic event to another, Brandon now finds time to enjoy traveling, attending concerts and sporting events, fishing, and a neverending classic car restoration. He is also very committed to supporting the Law Enforcement community he was a part of for many years and participates in various activities serving the Baton Rouge area.
