UIPE

All engineering professionals can join UIPE. There are 5 main categories of membership: Student, open to those studying in college or university; Technician for employed holders of a National Diploma in Engineering, Technologist for employed holders of a Higher National Diploma in Engineering; Graduate for employed BSc engineers, and Corporate; for engineers with more than 4 years' experience that have satisfied further criteria including submitting Career and Technical Reports to a joint assessment committee of UIPE and the Engineers Registration Board. ERB registration means that an engineer has a legal license to practice under the Engineers Registration Act. UIPE corporate membership is mandatory for continued ERB registration. Registered engineers from other countries can also apply for UIPE membership. There are also Fellow and Honorary UIPE members.
