Today, UIPE is the leading independent organization for the engineering profession in Uganda and embraces Engineers, Technicians, and Technologists right from when they start college, as they progress as young professionals and mature into senior practitioners... UIPE is governed by the constitution. UIPE's supreme organ is the Annual General Meeting. UIPE is led by a Council of 18 members headed by the President, assisted by Council Committees chaired by Vice Presidents, UIPE Branch Executives, and a Secretariat headed by the Executive Secretary... The Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers (UIPE) is a professional engineering body established in 1972 to bring together Engineers, Technologists and Technicians in Uganda.
