Branden began his career at Western Surety in January 2020. Branden handles accounts in the regions of British Columbia and Alberta.
Branden received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Regina's Paul J. Hill School of Business majoring in finance. Branden is working towards his Associateship of Canadian Surety Bonding (ACSB) designation from McMaster University and the Surety Association of Canada.

Brent joined Western Surety in 1988 as a Surety Underwriter and has progressed through various roles over the years into his current position as Senior Vice President. Brent provides management and direction of the surety underwriting operations within Head Office overseeing the western provinces and northern territories.
Brent graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1984 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He also completed his Certified Management Accounting (CMA) designation in 1988, currently recognized as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
Carter joined Western Surety in February 2023 and handles accounts in all regions of Western Canada.
He received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Regina's Paul J. Hill School of Business majoring in finance. He is currently taking classes toward the Associateship of Canadian Surety Bonding (ACSB) program through the Surety Association of Canada.

Connor joined Western Surety in 2021 as our Manager, Construction Projects and Solutions. Connor's background includes 7 years construction experience, including 4 years leading surety claims management across Canada.
Connor holds certifications as an Applied Science Technologist (AScT), Gold Seal Certified Owner's Construction Manager (GSC), Project Management Professional (PMP), and LEED Accredited Professional in Building Design and Construction (LEED AP BD+C). Connor also holds a Masters Degree in Architecture from the University of Calgary as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Diploma in Architectural Technologies, and Certificate in Project Management from Saskatchewan Polytechnic. Additionally, he studied Environmental Design at Montana State University and has completed a Certificate in Construction Law from Osgoode Hall Law School from York University.

Dan joined Western Surety in 2021 as a Senior Underwriter and was promoted to Senior Regional Manager in April 2022. Dan handles accounts in the regions of Saskatchewan and Alberta.
Dan graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2008. He received the Associateship of Canadian Surety Bonding (ACSB) designation from the University of Toronto and Surety Association of Canada in 2016. Dan's background includes eight (8) years of progressive experience within the surety industry prior to Western Surety Company.

Dean joined Western Surety in 2021 as a Regional Manager and works closely with the Senior Regional Manager overseeing the region of British Columbia. Dean began his Surety career in 2003 and since that time, he has gained valuable experience while working on both the underwriting side and broker side of the business.

Elsabe joined Western Surety in December 2009 as a Surety Associate. She has been in the surety industry since 1999 while working with a Toronto brokerage.
Her Bachelor of Arts degree involved a major in business psychology and human resources. She has also completed the Dun & Bradstreet Financial Analysis Course and holds an RIBO license.

Greg joined Western Surety in 2010 as a Surety Trainee, and over the years has progressed through various roles into his current position of Senior Regional Manager. Greg oversees the regions of British Columbia and Alberta.
Greg graduated from Queen's University in 2001 and has completed the Investment Funds in Canada, Canadian Insurance and Life License Qualification Program courses. Greg received the Associateship of Canadian Surety Bonding (ACSB) designation from the University of Toronto and Surety Association of Canada in 2012 and completed his Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation in 2015, currently recognized as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.

Hollie began her career with Western Surety in November 2015 and was promoted to Surety Underwriter in July 2016. Hollie handles accounts in all the western provinces.
Hollie graduated in 2001 from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Accounting. Hollie received the Associateship of Canadian Surety Bonding (ACSB) designation from the University of Toronto and Surety Association of Canada in 2018.

James joined Western Surety in 2021 as our Chief Claims Manager. James leads the claims operations for Western Surety across Canada. James's background includes 15 years of progressive experience in the P&C industry, working for national carriers which culminated in holding senior claims management positions and overall experience in a variety of divisions including Claims, Underwriting, and Broker.
James graduated in 2003 from SIAST with a Diploma in Business/Human Resource Management. He received his Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation in 2009 from the Insurance Institute of Canada, his Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation in 2015 from the University of Toronto and Global Risk Management Institute, as well as his Fellowship Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) designation in 2018 from the Insurance Institute of Canada and Athabasca University in Alberta.
He is currently working towards his Associateship of Canadian Surety Bonding (ACSB) designation from McMaster University and the Surety Association of Canada, as well as his Bachelor of Management Degree from Athabasca University in Alberta.
Jared joined Western Surety Company in February 2022 and will be servicing brokers and clients in the Ontario region.
Jared holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a minor in economics from McMaster University and he is currently working towards his ACSB designation. Jared's background includes two (2) years of progressive experience in the insurance industry as a Personal Insurance Broker prior to Western Surety Company.

Jennifer has been with the company twice in her career. After working for Western Surety on a five month contract in 1996, she joined a local insurance company before returning to Western Surety in 1999.
Jennifer, 'the voice of Western Surety' who handles our incoming calls, also serves as Executive Assistant to both the President and the General Counsel. She completed a Certificate in Office Education from SIAST in 1995.
Jennifer joined Western Surety in October 2023 as Assistant Vice President. Jennifer manages the Atlantic Region.
Jennifer has over 17 years of Surety experience, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce Management Degree from Saint Mary's University in 2005 and received the ACSB designation from the Surety Association of Canada in 2009.

Jerrod joined Western Surety in 2010 and was promoted to Surety Underwriter in 2011. Jerrod is the Commercial Surety Manager for the Western region and also handles contract surety accounts in Alberta and Manitoba.

Jordan is General Counsel for Western Surety Company, as well as Chief Compliance Officer.
Prior to joining Western Surety Company in 2022 Jordan practiced law both in private practice and as in-house counsel for Saskatchewan's commercial crown corporations. He has specialized in the areas of corporate/ commercial law and insolvency & restructuring.
Jordan obtained his law degree (Juris Doctor, Distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan. Prior to attending law school, Jordan obtained his B.B.A. (Finance, Great Distinction) and a Certificate in Economics from the University of Regina.
Jordan joined Western Surety in April 2022. Jordan handles accounts in the regions of Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
Jordan Received his Bachelor of Science majoring in Finance from Minot State University. He received the Associateship of Canadian Surety Bonding (ACSB) designation from the Surety Association of Canada in 2022. Jordan's background includes four (4) years of progressive experience within the surety industry prior to Western Surety Company.
Josh joined Western Surety Company in July 2023 and will be assisting with the daily accounting operations.

Kevin began his career with Western Surety in August 2017 and was promoted to Senior Surety Underwriter in February 2021. Kevin handles accounts in the Atlantic Canada region.
Kevin graduated from Saint Mary's University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He also holds the CIP and CAIB designations. Kevin's insurance background includes a five year tenure with a Halifax based brokerage where he was a Personal Lines Manager.

Kristine began her career at Western Surety in 2002 as a Surety Underwriter until 2005. Kristine returned in October 2013 as Controller after working outside the surety industry during her time away from Western Surety Company. In June of 2018, Kristine was promoted to Chief Financial Officer.
Kristine completed her Business Accountancy Diploma from SIAST in 1996 and furthered her education receiving her Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation in 2003, currently recognized as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.

Mark began his career at Western Surety in June 2012. Mark had 23 years of surety experience in the Toronto area prior to joining Western Surety. In the process, Mark has acquired a deep understanding of the business, as well as broad experience, and solid broker and contractor relationships, throughout a large part of the country.
Mark graduated in 1989 from Memorial University of Newfoundland with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. Based in Toronto, he manages the Toronto and Halifax offices overseeing Ontario and provinces east thereof.
Michael joined Western Surety Company in May 2022 and will be servicing brokers and clients in the Ontario region.
Michael graduated from Ryerson University with a Bachelor of Commerce in finance and a minor in economics. He received the ACSB designation in 2022 and is actively working towards completion of the CIP and CRM designations. Michael's background includes two (2) years of progressive experience in the insurance industry as a commercial underwriter and personal lines broker prior to Western Surety Company.

Paul joined Western Surety in 1999 as an Underwriter and over the years has progressed through various roles into his current position of Assistant Vice President. Paul oversees the regions of Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
Paul completed his Business Diploma from SIAST in 1996 and also received the Associateship of Canadian Surety Bonding (ACSB) designation from the University of Toronto and Surety Association of Canada in 2004.
Peter joined Western Surety Company in February 2021. Peter handles accounts in the Ontario region.
Peter graduated with honours from Brock University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and the University of Ottawa in 2014 with a Bachelor of Education degree. Peter received the Associateship of Canadian Surety Bonding (ACSB) designation from the University of Toronto and the Surety Association of Canada in 2019. Peter's background includes six (6) years of progressive experience within the surety industry prior to Western Surety Company.
Rebecca joined Western Surety Company April 2021 as Surety Associate. Rebecca's focus is on commercial surety while also managing the administrative challenges of the office. Rebecca's background includes 10 years of commercial insurance experience. Rebecca attended Nova Scotia Community College where she studied business administration with a focus on accounting. She is currently working towards her Chartered Insurance Professional ("CIP") designation.

Réjean began his career at Western Surety in September 2018. Réjean handles accounts in the regions of British Columbia and Alberta.
Réjean graduated from the University of Alberta in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in political science. He is working towards his Associateship of Canadian Surety Bonding (ACSB) designation from the University of Toronto and Surety Association of Canada.

Scott, who has been employed in the surety industry since 1981, joined Western Surety in 1987 as a Senior Underwriter. He was promoted to Assistant General Manager in 1994 and Underwriting Manager in 2001.
On January 1, 2008, Scott was promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer. The latter position was eliminated on December 31, 2010 and Scott was promoted to Chief Executive Officer on January 1, 2011.
Scott attended SIAST and the University of Regina, receiving his Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation, currently recognized as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), in 1988. In 2005, he completed an extensive Executive Upgrade program at the University of Western Ontario.

Vicky joined Western Surety in September 2015 as a Surety Associate. She has 27 years of surety experience on the broker side having worked for two major insurance brokerages.
Vicky graduated from the Reliance College of Business in 1982 and the first job she had was with a Regina insurance brokerage. Since then she has worked the majority of her career in the insurance/surety industry in Regina.
