Waitemata Hydraulics started operating in 1983 as a Hydraulink hose dealer and forklift repairer. Gradually more and more engineering products, tools, fastenings etc were stocked and in 1990 the workshop was closed, new premises were purchased and the company concentrated on selling engineering products, tools and other associated products.
