WINKLE - Key Persons
Aaron jumped on board as the company Production Manager at the start of 2024 and was thrown straight into the deep end! Fortunately he has a background in running his own kitchen manufacturing company so he was mrore than up for the challenge! With approximatley 30 years of Cabinet Making experience under his belt, Aaron is certainly capable of running the Winkle factory and ensuring the team of Cabinet Makers, Joiners and apprentices get our projects delivered on time and to the standard we expect!
Aaron is a gentle giant, who quietly goes about his duties in a calm and respectful manner. He is dad to a teenage son and newly married - so he is still in his honeymoon phase!
We encourage our suppliers, manufacturers and contractors to pop in and say hi to Aaron so he can continute getting to know all the people who bring Winkle Group projects to life!
Derek commenced his employment with the Winkle Group in 2023 as a CAD Drafter to operate our PYTHA software. Derek has brought his skill set as a qualified Cabinet Maker/Joiner to his role with the company. He is kept busy preparing working drawings for commercial joinery fabrication in our Edwardstown factory. Derek has a background in Kitchen CAD design and has been expanding that knowledge into the commercial joinery sector in his role here at Winkles. Derek has previously worked for himself designing and installing kitchens, laundries and vanities and has skills in small business management.
Derek is married with two daughters. He spends his spare time keeping fit, enjoying his pool and most importantly supporting his girls in their chosen sports of AFL and BMX riding
Derek is a friendly, approachable guy with a keen eye for detail.
Hamish has the shopfitting industry is his blood and like his brother Josh, came on board at a young age to commence his apprenticeship with the family business. Over the years Hamish has worked in a variety of positions within the Winkle Group since gaining his Certificate III in Building and Construction. From Managing site installations; to his current role as Project Manager, Hamish has a sound overall knowledge of the shopfitting industry. Harmony has been working for Winkle Group since 2004. Initially employed in administration, Harmony has taken over the reigns as Financial Controller and currently oversees the finances, Human Resources and Marketing for the Winkle Group. University educated and enthusiastic about business, Harmony is passionate about the growth of the Winkle Group and working alongside her brothers; Josh and Hamish, to ensure the success of the Winkle Group as an Australian Family Business. Josh has grown up in and around ‘Winkles' but officially commenced full time employment with the company as an apprentice shopfitter in 1992. After completing his apprenticeship and working in the trade for several years, he was trained in the areas of Estimating and Project Management.
Josh is an active participator in the Interior Fit-out Association (IFA) and is the current National President of the Assosication. Aditionally he sits on the National Board of Directors for IFA.
Coupled with Josh's practical experience and trade qualifications, he has completed a Diploma in Frontline Management. His wealth of knowledge and experience in the shopfitting industry is a huge asset to the company and it's clients.
Josh is a family man with three sporty kids. Actively involved in his son's basketball club - South Adelaide and spends most weekends coaching the kids to a win!
Mark first commenced his employment with Winkle Group as a Site Foreman; managing the installation and coordination of interior fitouts. Mark went on to develop his skills in CAD Drafting; and utilised his knowledge of the joinery trade to become a full time Drafter. In this role Mark was responsible for operating the inhouse software - PYTHA and Analyzer. Mark produced working drawings for the company's CNC machinery for several years before moving into his current role as Project Manager.
As a integral part of the Project Management team at Winkle group, Mark managed the South Australian rollout of ALDI stores for two years, and now manages a variety of commercial fitout clients for the company. Mark is a well respected and valued part of the management team at Winkles. Mark prides himself on his attention to detail, and continually provides friendly and meticulous Project Management services to his clients.
Mark is a very likeable guy with a questionable choice of footy team... He enjoys getting away in his caravan with his wife and kids!
Pam commenced employment with the Winkle Group in February 2014, as our Receptionist, Office Administrator and Bookkeeper. She has completed certificates in Business Frontline Management and Accounting. Pam has been working in the shopfitting industry since 2011 and is only too happy to assist you with your enquiries, or put you on to the right team member who can. Pam has grown children and now enjoys taking the opportunity to embark on an overseas holiday, or head off for a caravan getaway with her hubby! ...
Roden, or "Bom" as he's affectionatly called; is one half of our drafting team here at Winkles. He commenced his employment with the company in 2023 after recently relocating his wife and two small children to Australia from the Philippines. He has a Bachelors degree in Architecture from the University of San Carlos Technological Centre, along with technical skills in a wide range of drafting softwares.
Roden prepares our CAD drawings for client approval and techincal working drawings for our team of Cabinet Makers and Joiners. He has slotted into our team perfectly and has embraced the intricacies or commercial joinery fabrication with enthusiasm!
Fun fact about Bom - he is an identical twin and his brother is nick-named "Bim"
When he's not at work he loves to hang out with his kids, explore his new hometown and strum his guitar!
