Dr Aaron Moles

Job Titles:

Dr Aaron Moles is a registered specialist in small animal surgery. After graduating from the University of Sydney in 1994, he owned and ran a successful small animal clinic in the northern suburbs of Brisbane for more than ten years. Aaron became a member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists by examination in Small Animal Surgery in 2005. In 2006 he took up a position with Murdoch University in Western Australia as a surgeon in their small animal referral hospital and subsequently completed formal residency training programs with both the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists and the European College of Veterinary Surgeons. By examination, he is a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Scientists, a qualification that affords worldwide recognition as a small animal surgical specialist.

Dr Aimee Linton

Job Titles:

Aimee graduated from Bristol University in 2010 and spent 3 years working in rural mixed practice in the UK before immigrating to Australia in 2013. Aimee then spent 2 years in small animal and equine practice in Geraldton, followed by a year working in Broome. Aimee joined the emergency team at WAVES in late August 2016.

Dr Alex Lee

Alex graduated from Murdoch University in 2022. Following graduation, she joined the WAVES team and completed the Emergency and Critical Care internship in 2023. Alex enjoys all aspects of emergency medicine - despite the challenges it often brings. In her spare time, she enjoys going to spin class and exploring cafes for the best coffee in Perth.

Dr Alex Tinson

Alex graduated from Murdoch University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery. She worked in a busy 24-hour GP clinic in Perth before taking up the opportunity to work at WAVES when it first opened to follow her love of emergency medicine. Alex obtained her Membership in Emergency and Critical Care with the ANZCVS in 2016. In 2017 she moved to the UK for 4 years, where she locumed in the beautiful county of Oxfordshire and had the opportunity to practice in Canada in her uncle's clinic. She fell in love with the English countryside and all the walks, however not so much with the hamsters and gerbils which although are small, can bite hard! In 2021 she moved back to Perth and was excited to start back at WAVES as a senior Veterinarian.

Dr Alexa Brown

Alexa graduated from The University of Sydney in 2002 and spent six years working in small animal practice in both Australia and the United Kingdom. In 2009 she returned to The University of Sydney and completed a rotating small animal clinical internship. In 2010 she obtained Membership of the Australian New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Small Animal Medicine and completed a Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Clinical Studies. From 2011-2014 she completed a residency in small animal internal medicine at Murdoch University. She obtained Diplomate status of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine - Companion Animals (Internal Medicine) in 2017 and is currently completing a Masters in Veterinary Studies. Alexa joined the team at WAVES in July 2014, and has recently returned from maternity leave. Alexa has a particular interest in endocrinology, immunology and infectious diseases.

Dr Amelia Ho

Dr Amelia graduated from Murdoch University in 2019 with a keen interest in veterinary dermatology. She spent two years in a busy general practice in Singapore and recognized the need for better dermatological care for animals. In 2022, she successfully applied for a veterinary dermatology internship with Dr Meng. After an intensive 12months internship, she accepted a residency program to pursue her ambition of becoming a veterinary dermatologist. Amelia is very knowledgeable and hardworking, and we are pleased to have her as part of the dermatology team. Away from the clinic, Amelia has volunteered extensively with wildlife across the globe and completed numerous zoological internships. She has also helped to coordinate rabies control programs in neighbouring ASEAN countries.

Dr Anna Tebb

Job Titles:

Anna graduated from Cambridge Veterinary School in 2000. She went onto complete a rotating internship following by a residency training programme in small animal medicine at Glasgow University which ended in 2004. She became a Specialist after successfully completing her European diploma in Small Animal Medicine in 2007. Anna has worked at several different University and private practices in the UK and Australia. Her research interests include canine endocrinology and fungal infectious diseases and she has a particular interest in the management of haematological diseases. Dr Anna Tebb is the owner and manager of Small Animal Medicine Specialists Pty Ltd, providing specialist small animal internal medicine services at WAVES.

Dr Benjamin Stewart

Ben is a 2000 graduate of Murdoch University and started his career taking on mixed practice in Albany. Following this he spent several years working in the UK before returning to Perth to start a family. After many years in small animal general practice, he took an opportunity to complete Membership Examinations in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care and made the exciting shift to the Emergency department at WAVES where he has happily remained ever since.

Dr Brenda Poon

Brenda graduated from Murdoch University in 2022. Throughout her years in veterinary school, she developed a strong interest in emergency medicine and hospital care, which encouraged her to join WAVES' emergency department as a 2023 intern. She is excited to grow and learn from the team, and is looking forward to providing the best possible care for her patients in need.

Dr Brett de Bruyn

Brett graduated from Murdoch University in 2015 with high distinction. Brett worked in small animal general practice in Southwest WA for two years before travelling to the UK performing locum work in various small animal clinics. Brett returned to Australia to commence a surgical internship at WAVES in 2019. Brett was accepted as a member of the Surgical Chapter of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists through examination during this year. Brett subsequently undertook a 12-month speciality training program, followed by a three-year residency training program at Murdoch University. Brett completed a Master of Veterinary Clinical Studies and is currently completing a research Masters in orthopaedic biomechanics. Brett enjoys the clinical management of orthopaedic cases as well as wound management and skin reconstruction. Outside of work, Brett is kept busy by a young family and an exuberant Border Collie!

Dr Brittany Sofield

I was born in Perth, and from the age of 5 I wanted to be a vet. I studied veterinary medicine at Murdoch and graduated in 2022, I then started an emergency internship at WAVES. I enjoy all aspects of the veterinary profession, particularly the fast paced nature of emergency. When not at work I enjoy adventures with my fur babies, exploring the southwest of WA and drinking wine.

Dr Charmaine Tan

Charmaine graduated from Murdoch University in 2020, and has completed a year of general practice coupled with a casual job of emergency medicine. At the end of 2021, she made the move to dive into emergency medicine full time in at The Animal Hospital at Murdoch University , and to expand her experience further, she started at WAVES in a casual capacity in 2022. Outside of work, Charmaine will be also finishing her Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care in November 2022. Charmaine has been a veterinary nurse since 2012, starting off as a general practice nurse and branched out into some exotic nursing as well as emergency nursing. The focus on emergency nursing truly took off once she moved to Perth for veterinary studies, and she worked part time throughout her university days. Charmaine's interest is focused on all aspects of critical care and medicine for small animals. She is embarking on an emergency and critical care internship next year at Murdoch University, and she is aiming for a residency in this field in the next few years.

Dr Chloe Harris-Brown

Chloe graduated from Murdoch University in 2010. After graduating, Chloe spent 3 years in a wonderful, busy small animal practice in Mandurah, Western Australia. After this Chloe then spent 12 months as the sole Veterinarian at a Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre in Perth. Though she still enjoys working in wildlife medicine, Chloe found she missed working with domestic species, particularly missing surgery. As such she has returned to domestic animal practice as an Emergency and Critical Care Veterinarian here at WAVES and maintains her work with wildlife on a voluntary basis. When she is not at work she enjoys swimming, reading a good novel, watching the cricket and most of all spending time with her family (human and furred).

Dr Corinna Chia

Corinna graduated from Murdoch University in 2009. Upon graduation, she moved to Singapore to work for 18 months before coming back to Perth. Through her experiences in various general practices, she has developed a passion for emergency and critical care medicine and was excited when she landed her ideal job at WAVES in 2013. She loves and enjoys all aspect of working as an emergency vet. Corinna also completed her Masters in Veterinary Science in small animal practice at Murdoch University in 2013, and obtained her membership in ECC in 2015. When she does have free time, she enjoys travelling, hiking and sleeping with her cats.

Dr Eben Martin

Following graduation from the University of Melbourne in 2010 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science, Eben continued to work in his home town of Melbourne in small animal general and emergency practice. In 2015 he lived in the UK and worked in small animal practice, whilst playing semi-professional cricket. Upon returning later that year, he became partner in a large practice in the northern suburbs of Melbourne and in 2016 obtained membership to the Emergency and Critical Care Chapter of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists by examination. Although Eben had worked primarily in emergency practice, his passion always lay with surgery and in 2018 Eben moved to the sunny Perth to begin a 12 month internship at WAVES. During this same year he obtained membership into the Surgical Chapter of the College by examination, and in 2019 Eben began a three year surgical residency training program at WAVES. Upon completion of his residency training program, Eben obtained his Fellowship within the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in 2023, granting him the qualifications necessary to be registered as a specialist in small animal surgery. Although a long way from family and friends, Eben and his partner love living in Perth, and consider it their home away from home. Although Eben enjoys all facets of surgery, he has particular interests in orthopaedic surgery, neurosurgery and trauma surgery.

Dr Georgia Allardice

Georgia's passion for animal welfare began as a young child; she grew up in rural Western Australia and owned a variety of pets including cats, dogs, sheep, guinea pigs and rabbits. She began her tertiary education with a bachelor of Zoology but quickly realised Veterinary Medicine was her calling and transferred into a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery in 2014. Georgia graduated from Murdoch University in 2018 and began her career as a rural small animal clinician in Geraldton, WA. As a rural veterinarian she routinely attended after hours emergencies and quickly realised this work was her area of special interest. She has been thoroughly enjoying her position with WAVES since 2020 and when she is not treating patients she is hiking with her heeler, River.

Dr Georgia Graham

Georgia graduated from Murdoch University in 2023. Following her interest in emergency medicine, she joined the WAVES team for the Emergency and Critical Care internship. Georgia also enjoys running, baking and spending time with her dog, cat and rabbit.

Dr Hayley Trentini

Hayley is originally from sunny QLD where she completed her first degree in Biomedical Science. She did her obligatory time abroad working for minimum wage, before deciding to go back to school and pursue veterinary medicine. She moved to WA for vet school and now calls WA home, with her partner and adopted menagerie of pets including dogs, Guinea pigs and love birds. In her time off she loves to cook, go hiking with the dogs, and visit every known bakery around Perth. She worked in general practice for a few years before trading in her steady sleep schedule for the world of fast paced emergency medicine and surgery at WAVES. Despite the challenges; there is something new and exciting to learn every day and she has loved every minute of it!

Dr Ingrid Heslop

Ingrid is a veterinarian with over 25 years of veterinary experience. She has worked in general practice, referral practice and has spent 18 years working and teaching in a university hospital setting. Her duty is to safely manage the process of general anaesthesia for our dental patients. Ingrid formulates a specific plan for each individual patient, taking into account health history, current health, age, bloodwork if available, current medications, previous anaesthetic history, stress level and temperament. The anaesthetic plan also includes sedation, pain control (before, during and after procedure), and fluid therapy. Along with anaesthesia, she has a passion and further training in Fear Free and low stress management of anxious or fearful patients in hospital. Ingrid is a qualified Fear Free veterinary practitioner and works with patients to ensure their hospital experience is a relaxed and positive one.

Dr Issy Campbell

Graduating from Murdoch University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Issy moved to rural Victoria. There she worked in mixed animal practice, primarily treating dogs, cats, pocket pets and dairy cattle with only very few horse visits (much to her relief). Following one particularly bad night on call involving three separate calvings in the windy Warrnambool weather, Issy decided to move back home to Perth and started working at an after-hours general practice clinic. She fell in love with the emergency side of veterinary medicine and moved to WAVES to follow her passion in 2020. At WAVES, Issy has developed a particular interest in abdominal diseases and emergency surgery. She has a soft spot for Cavaliers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers and Shar-peis, likely due to the breed-related quirks of her own dogs. She also shares three pet rats and a stick insect, Jemima, with her housemates. Issy is currently studying for her ANZCVS Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Memberships; an exam which she aims to sit in mid-2023.

Dr Jane Day

Jane was raised on a cattle and sheep property near Goondiwindi in Queensland and graduated from Queensland University in 1994. She was planning on being a large animal veterinarian but after being kicked by too many cattle on the family property she decided small animal work was the way to go. She worked in small animal practice in Canberra, Darwin, Brisbane and the UK before moving to the University of Melbourne to do a residency. She enjoys teaching and has worked at several universities, most recently as Associate Professor at James Cook University. She has been an office bearer of the Radiology Chapter of the ANZCVS and is a frequent examiner. At WAVES she enjoys working as part of a team to provide the best possible care for patients. Outside of work she enjoys time with the family on the boat or walking with Sophie the dog.

Dr Jenny Ellis

Jenny completed a Biological Natural Sciences degree (immunology and virology) at the University of Cambridge in 2005, followed by graduation from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at the University of Edinburgh in 2010. Jenny then worked in small animal general practice in the UK for three years, during which time she completed a GP Certificate in Feline Practice. This was followed by a rotating internship at Dick White Referrals, Cambridgeshire, UK. Having developed an interest in Internal Medicine during general practice and internship, Jenny returned to Dick White Referrals in 2014 for a residency programme and achieved specialty status in Europe in 2018 through the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Diploma in Internal Medicine). Jenny moved from the UK to Western Australia in late 2018 to join WAVES. Jenny has a particular interest in immunology and oncology, and all things to do with cats! Jenny now lives on the Fremantle coastline, and enjoys surfing, running and anything outdoors in the Aussie sun!

Dr Kate Foyster

Kate graduated from Murdoch University in 2017 and started out in mixed rural practice. She spent a few years in general practice in the southwest and was routinely seeing emergencies and after hours which she realised was her area of interest. She transitioned to emergency work in 2021 and started at WAVES at the beginning of 2023. Outside of work she enjoyed surfing, playing piano and spending time with her kelpie.

Dr Katrin Swindells

Katrin graduated from Sydney University in 1994, and initially worked in small animal general practice for a few years. In 1997 she started working in an emergency service in Sydney and rapidly realised that this field was her vocation. In 2000 she attained her ANZCVS Memberships in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care. She then went on to do a residency at Murdoch University and in 2006 became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care. From 2007 to 2011 she was Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care at Murdoch University and then worked in private emergency and critical care services in Perth and Brisbane. Katrin has been working at WAVES since opening in June 2013. Additionally, Katrin has been an invited lecturer in her field at numerous conferences and has been an examiner in Veterinary Emergency Medicine and Critical Care at both Membership and Fellowship level for the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists. Katrin's interests include all aspects of critical care, trauma, transfusion therapy, toxicology, envenomations and teaching.

Dr Kimberly Lim

Kim is a resident who is completing her training at WAVES. She will be supervised by our three boarded radiologists: Dr Timothy Foo, Dr Jane Day and Dr Mariano Makara. Kim graduated from Murdoch University in 2018 before completing a rotating internship in internal medicine, oncology and emergency and critical care at Perth Veterinary Specialists (PVS). In late 2020, she followed her passion and commenced an internship at Veterinary Radiology at PVS which later progressed to a residency. Kim is a talented radiology resident and a valued member of the imaging team. Kim shares her home with her husband who is also a vet, as well as a Tabby cat named Pixie.

Dr Maddy Jones

Maddy graduated from Murdoch university in 2016 and began her career at a small family-owned mixed practice in the Perth Hills. After spending time in 2018 doing casual work in the front of house at WAVES, she fell in love with the incredible emergency and critical care team and officially made the move as a vet in 2019. Maddy has a huge soft spot for giant breeds, after being owned by Great Danes and a Newfoundland. When she isn't working, she enjoys gardening, drinking tea and spending time with her much loved pooches.

Dr Madeleine Borg

Madeleine is a 2023 Murdoch University graduate. She is originally from Melbourne but has fallen in love with the Perth lifestyle. She is passionate about small animal and wildlife medicine and is currently shaping her career as an emergency and critical care intern here at WAVES.

Dr Mariano Makara

Mariano is a European boarded radiologist with more than 10 years of experience in diagnostic imaging. Mariano graduated from University of La Plata, Argentina. He completed a residency program at the University of Zurich in Switzerland and became boarded with the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging in March 2010. Mariano was the Senior Lecturer in Diagnostic Imagining at the University of Sydney and moved to Perth in 2023 to join our WAVES team. Mariano loves the Perth climate and enjoys cycling and sailing. He has a very cute poodle cross named Mona.

Dr Meng Siak

Meng graduated from Murdoch Veterinary School in 2006. He spent one year in private practice before returning to Perth to pursue his dream of becoming a veterinary dermatologist. From 2008 to 2014, Meng worked in two busy referral dermatology clinics, initially as an intern, then resident in veterinary dermatology. In 2014, he passed examinations to become a specialist veterinary dermatologist with the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS). In the WAVES dermatology clinic, Meng acts as a consultant for your pets' skin and ear diseases and performs diagnostic procedures including allergy testing, video-otoscopy examinations and flushes, and collection of skin and ear biopsies. Meng has special interests in antibiotic resistant bacterial skin and ear infections including methicillin resistant Staphylococcus pseudintermedius (MRSP)-the dog equivalent of MRSA in people. He published the first paper on MRSP infections affecting dogs in Australia and continues to update himself on new treatment options. Other interests include management of allergic and immune mediated skin diseases. Outside work, Meng is a keen advocate for continued education and is the Oceania/Asia representative for Global Veterinary Dermatology Education Group (GVDEG), a non-profit charitable organisation that offers continued education in underserved countries. Meng and his Wife (also a veterinarian) enjoys exploring the world together and spending time with their two cats (Kylie, a tortoiseshell and Remy, a Burmese). Meng is a sports fanatic and supports Spurs (COYS!) and Dockers (Go Freo!).

Dr Mollie Bower

Mollie graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2019. After graduation Mollie moved back home to work in a small animal general practice on the south coast of England for 18 months. In March 2021 she moved to Australia and worked in an emergency hospital in Perth. Mollie joined the WAVES team in January 2022 as an emergency and critical care veterinarian. She has an interest in all aspects of emergency medicine and is working towards her Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (Emergency and Critical Care).

Dr Pip Hogan

Pip grew up two hours south of Perth in coastal Bunbury, Western Australia. After an extended career in the veterinary industry as a nurse, she decided to make the leap and become a veterinarian. She graduated from Murdoch University in 2023, where she took on the WAVES Emergency and Critical Care internship. Pip has always liked the time-critical aspect of emergency medicine and aims to specialise in Emergency and ICU one day.

Dr Rebecca Nilsen

Job Titles:

Rebecca graduated from Murdoch University in 2012. After graduating she practiced in a busy small animal general practice and emergency medicine clinic. In 2017 she pursued a teaching role with Murdoch University and Perth Zoo, imparting her knowledge of wildlife and exotics whilst mentoring the next generation of veterinarians. It was during this time Rebecca noted a need for improvement in veterinary dental care and education across all species and in 2018 completed her memberships in Small Animal Dentistry and Oral Surgery with the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists. Since 2018 Rebecca has worked exclusively in veterinary dentistry (Smiling Pet Veterinary Dental Services) as a referral vet for more than 130 clinics in Perth and the greater metropolitan and regional area. She is currently the President of the Australian Veterinary Dental Society, which aims to provide the best possible dental and oral health care to pets by promoting awareness of veterinary dentistry to the profession. Rebecca practices with the ethos that every animal deserves a pain free mouth. When not at work Rebecca enjoys spending time at the beach with her loveable rescue dog Libby and catching up with family and friends.

Dr Richard Rumsey

Richard graduated from the University of Sydney in 1994 and has worked in Sydney for 6 years in small animal practice before moving to WA. He worked in private practice for 12 months in Perth and then worked at Murdoch University for 12 years teaching undergraduate vet students at the veterinary teaching hospital in the general practice. He obtained his Memberships in Small Animal Surgery in 2003. Richard enjoys all aspects of surgery, particularly emergency trauma and gastrointestinal surgery. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his three children, he enjoys going to the gym, and also enjoys reading a good book. He has two cats called Dr Mick and Bento.

Dr Ryan Ong

Ryan completed his veterinary degree at the University of Sydney in 2001 and went on to do an anaesthesia internship and Masters in Veterinary Studies at the Camden campus the following year. This was followed by a stint in private practice in Melbourne followed by a rotating internship at the Royal Veterinary College in London. A developing interest for emergency and critical care led to a residency program at Murdoch University, before finally becoming a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care and an Australian Registered Specialist in Emergency & Critical Care.

Dr Sarah Patterson

Sarah is a local to Perth and grew up always knowing she wanted to be a veterinarian. She graduated from Murdoch University with distinction in 2013. Following graduation, she spent a year working in small animal general practice before making the move to Emergency and Critical Care at WAVEs in April 2015. Sarah enjoys all aspects of small animal practice but has a strong interest in emergency and internal medicine - particularly those cases involving our feline companions! When not at work she enjoys spending time with her friends, family and fur creatures.

Dr Sue Bennett

Job Titles:

Sue graduated from Murdoch University in 1989 and practiced in equine and small animal practice in NSW and Victoria before settling on small animal practice, becoming a member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Small Animal Medicine in 1998 and in Medicine of Cats in 1999. Sue completed a 3 year residency training program in Small Animal Medicine at the University of Melbourne then practiced as a registrar at University of Melbourne and Murdoch University, becoming a fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Small Animal Medicine in 2009. From 2010, Sue has practiced as a clinical academic at Murdoch University, returning to private referral practice in 2016. Sue's veterinary interests cover all aspects of internal medicine, particularly, urinary, respiratory and immunological diseases and her favourite patients are geriatric cats.

Dr Tal-Petra Guse

Petra graduated from Massey University in 2008 and spent the next 3 years in mixed animal practice in rural NZ, then moved to a busy emergency practice in Christchurch. In 2013 she received her Master of Veterinary Medicine from Massey University, before moving (along with her dog and two cats) to Melbourne to work in the Emergency and Critical Care department at Melbourne University. Petra started work at WAVES in December 2014. In her spare time she enjoys hiking with her dog, scuba diving and travelling.

Dr Teri Kho

Teri graduated from Murdoch University in 2020 and spent a year in small animal general practice before joining and completing the WAVES ECC internship in 2021. When not at work, she enjoys hiking, camping and spending time at Perth's sunny beaches with her two dogs, Lexi and Cuba.

Dr Timothy Foo

Job Titles:
  • Registered Specialist, Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging
Dr Foo grew up in Sarawak, Malaysia and moved to Perth, Western Australia in 2005. He graduated from Murdoch University in 2010 and worked in general practice in Western Australia for a number of years before being accepted into the diagnostic imaging residency program at the University of Sydney Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Since 2014, Dr Foo was accepted as a member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists by examination (Radiology Chapter). He completed his residency training, a masters degree and European board examinations in veterinary diagnostic imaging in 2019. During the course of his training, Dr Foo has spent time as part of his training at various institutions including the University of Melbourne, The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh, and Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH). Dr Foo enjoys all aspects of diagnostic imaging and working in a large, multidisciplinary team at WAVES.

Dr Troy Bunn

Troy graduated from James Cook University, QLD in 2015 before moving to Perth, Western Australia to complete a rotating internship in Medicine, Oncology and Emergency and Critical Care. In 2017, he entered small animal general practice but after 12 months, realised his passion lied in Small Animal Internal Medicine. Troy commenced a Medicine internship at Murdoch University in 2018 which progressed to a residency. He completed two years of his residency at Murdoch University before completing his training at the Western Australian Veterinary Emergency and Specialty (WAVES) hospital. Troy finished his residency at the beginning of 2022 and is working at WAVES as a Medicine registrar as he prepares to sit his specialist examinations. Additionally, Troy has completed a dual masters investigating fasting hypertriglyceridaemia in Australian Miniature Schnauzers and has a postgraduate Diploma in Tertiary Education. He has presented his research at both national and international conferences. Troy's interests include all aspects of Small Animal Internal Medicine and outside of work, Troy keeps himself busy as a Group Fitness Instructor.

Dr Tymon Yeo

Tymon graduated from Murdoch University in 2015, following which he worked in a rural mixed animal practice in the wheatbelt of WA. During this time, he found that he enjoyed the challenges and rewards that came with managing emergency small animal patients. As such, he joined the emergency team at WAVES in 2020, and obtained membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Emergency and Critical Care in 2021. Outside of work, Tymon enjoys reading, spending time with his pets, hiking, and travelling.

Small Animal Surgical

Hadisa graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from Murdoch University in 2015. She spent the next 5 years working in a small animal practice in Perth during which she developed a keen passion for surgery. To pursue this passion further, Hadisa joined the WAVES team at the beginning of 2021 as a surgical intern. In 2022 she undertook a Surgery Specialty Traineeship at Murdoch University and returned to WAVES in 2023 to commence a 3 year Small Animal Surgery Residency program. Hadisa is currently completing a research Masters in medial patella luxation in dogs and preparing for examinations for Membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (Small Animal Surgery chapter). Outside of work Hadisa tries to travel as much as she can, practise yoga and spend time with her dog. Following graduation from the University of Melbourne in 2010 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science, Eben continued to work in his home town of Melbourne in small animal general and emergency practice. In 2015 he lived in the UK and worked in small animal practice, whilst playing semi-professional cricket. Upon returning later that year, he became partner in a large practice in the northern suburbs of Melbourne and in 2016 obtained membership to the Emergency and Critical Care chapter of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists by examination. Although Eben had worked primarily in emergency practice his passion always lay with surgery and in 2018 Eben moved to the sunny Perth to begin a 12 month internship at WAVES. During this same year he obtained entry into the Surgical Chapter of the College by examination, and in 2019 Eben began a three year surgical residency training program at WAVES. Although a long way from his family, Eben is loving his time in Perth, and considers it his home away from home. Eben has keen interest in orthopaedic surgery as well as emergency and trauma surgery.
