Eli McGarva - VP

Eli McGarva started working in the construction industry at the age of 15 at a wastewater treatment plant in Windsor, CA. After graduating from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, he went to work full time at Western Water. As a northern California native, McGarva loves the rolling hills, vineyards, parks and lakes in Sonoma County, where he and his family hike, mountain bike, swim and revel in the incredible natural beauty of the region. "You must be on your toes and work together, drawing from the combined strengths of the team members. This sense of camaraderie and teamwork in the face of common challenges is what makes this job so rewarding to me."

Josh McGarva - CEO, President

Josh brings more than 26 years of experience in municipal and private water, wastewater and energy infrastructure. He has overseen projects ranging from a state-of-the-art $10 million winery waste-to-energy project, to a $56 million municipal green field wastewater treatment plant. Aside from his time attaining his B.S. in Construction Management at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, McGarva is a lifelong Santa Rosa resident. He has a personal appreciation for this beautiful area of the West, and a deep understanding of the importance of clean, safe, fresh water to a burgeoning population with limited natural water resources.

Ken Kreischer - CFO

Ken Kreischer wears many hats at Western Water, but his primary responsibilities include accounting, legal, HR, banking, bonding, contracts, labor relations and regulatory compliance. He also acts as the keeper of the corporate conscience and company historian. Kreischer has lived in Sonoma County nearly all his life, and enjoys spending time doing just about anything outside, including camping, being on the water, or heading to the mountains. He is also actively involved in the community as a volunteer for Canine Companions for Independence. Over the years, the Kreischer family has raised and trained nearly 100 assistance dogs for people with disabilities.

Luke McGarva - VP

Luke McGarva started as a laborer and equipment operator at Western Water, working his way up through the company to take the role of Vice President in 2013. Born and raised in California, he chose to raise his own family in Sonoma County; with incredible weather, and easy access to mountains, beaches, wine country and urban cities, he believes it's one of the most beautiful places to live in the world.
