She began riding at the age of 4 and has trained under renowned riders such as Steve Hummel, Susan and Bill McMorris. During her Junior years, Caitlin excelled in Equitation, earning numerous qualifications for prestigious events such as Maclay Regionals, Pessoa Medal Finals, Dover Saddlery/USEF Hunter Seat Medal Finals, Devon Hunterdon Cup Equitation Classic, THIS National Children's Medal Finals, USHJA Gladstone Cup Equitation Classic, Capital Challenge Equitation Weekend, and more. Throughout her riding career, Caitlin has proven her aptitude for catch riding and training horses of all breeds, ages, and experience levels. In fact, Caitlin discovered her love for working with young horses after breaking her first horse at just 13 years old. Caitlin's expertise in developing prospects has only grown stronger over time. After completing her Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Psychology from Concordia University Texas, Caitlin accepted a job at Dell Technologies, where she remains an integral part of the company. She earned her Masters Degree, MBA, in 2022 also from Concordia. However, she still actively contributes to Empire Acres, and White Fences helping manage the behind-the-scenes operations and working with clients who stay home during horse show season. Caitlin is passionate about teaching riders of all levels, emphasizing the importance of challenging oneself at any experience level. Her training approach focuses on developing riders' strength and finesse while maintaining a proper position. With Caitlin's guidance, her students have consistently improved and grown as riders.

Emily Roy

With a passion for horse riding that dates back to her childhood, Emily has…more With a passion for horse riding that dates back to her childhood, Emily has been a force to be reckoned with in the Hunter/Jumper and Dressage arenas. She began her riding and showing journey in 2004, honing her skills and eventually discovering her true calling in the art of classical Dressage. Emily's dedication to the sport is unwavering, and she takes immense joy in helping riders form a harmonious partnership with their horses. As a teacher, she focuses on imparting knowledge with kindness and compassion, encouraging riders to develop their skills with confidence and motivation. Her expertise in rider position and alignment has helped countless partnerships achieve better rhythm, suppleness, contact, impulsion, and collection. Emily is the proud owner of two magnificent horses - Santana, a 2010 Hanoverian gelding, and N'Abèlle, a 2019 KWPN mare. She and Santana have had a thriving show career, including multiple victories at US Dressage Finals and Regional Championships. Emily's goal is to train Santana to Grand Prix level and earn her freestyle bars, a testament to her unwavering commitment to the sport and her love for freestyles. An avid learner herself, Emily never stops seeking opportunities to improve and grow, taking lessons and participating in clinics with mentors like Jeremy Steingburg, Charles de Kunffy, and JJ Tate. Her journey in the world of horse riding and showing is a testament to her dedication and love for the sport.

Jennifer (Jenny) Foss

Jennifer Foss, also known as Jenny, is a highly experienced and passionate…more Jennifer Foss, also known as Jenny, is a highly experienced and passionate Dressage professional who was born in Walton-on-Thames, England. As a child she moved a great deal. Over the past fifteen years, she has dedicated herself to the industry, running a successful Dressage stable and competing in shows while continuing to expand her knowledge. Jenny discovered her love for Dressage at a young age while attending a local Dressage Academy. She was captivated by the intricacies of the sport and the meticulous care required for horses. In 2011, she fulfilled her dream of owning her own facility when she purchased Ivory Hills Stable in Wilson, WI. There, she focused on three key areas to become a well-rounded horsewoman: Care, Horsemanship, and Classical Dressage. Jenny worked with Ken Larson for two years, learning Natural Horsemanship and young horse starting techniques that have significantly influenced her program. Kris Hansen taught her about specialized care, bringing along and maintaining special needs horses, and the biomechanics of horses. Jenny has also consistently trained with Grand Prix Dressage rider Adam J. Steffens, as well as others for eight years and attends clinics with other top riders. She prioritizes education while developing her own competition horses from the ground up. During her time running Ivory Hills Stable, Jenny earned her bronze medal and rider achievement awards through third level, ridden in multiple regional championships and US Finals, and her students have won regional championships, competed in US Finals, and Seat Medal finals. Jenny is passionate about training young and junior riders, instilling good horsemanship, and proper basics. After enduring 10 Midwest winters, Jenny decided to seek warmer weather for a better quality of life for her and her animals. In 2021, she sold Ivory Hills Stable and found her new home at White Fences Equestrian Center in Texas. She is excited to continue developing her homebred horses to FEI levels and guiding students to success with their animals, from beginner to Grand Prix. As a Head Dressage Instructor and Trainer, Jenny brings her passion, expertise, and dedication to the sport to help others achieve their goals.

Lacy Hudson

Lacy began riding in Austin, Texas in 1977, showing successfully locally and…more Lacy began riding in Austin, Texas in 1977, showing successfully locally and on the national level throughout her childhood. Over the course of her junior years, Lacy worked with Steve Hummel, William Martin, George Sayo, Mike McCormick, Orley Dehoyas, and Phoebe Johnson, and competed in her first Grand Prix at age 14. During her high school years, Lacy focused on equitation, going on to win several medals in the AHSA, USEF, and Maclay, as well as numerous other accolades. Lacy attended Texas A&M to study Exercise Physiology and Business, where she played on the polo team and showed on the IHSA team, while also continuing to show nationally. After winning a scholarship, Lacy trained and showed under the tutelage of the legendary George Morris for several months. Following college, Lacy continued to bring along young horses while managing her retail stores and clothing company. In 2006, Lacy returned to Austin to begin her career as a trainer. Since becoming a professional, she has trained several successful young riders to compete at Junior Finals, Medal Finals, and helped these young riders continue their development through NCEA Scholarships. Lacy's own daughters, Caitlin and Mackenzie, are proof of her keen eye and training ability. Caitlin Hudson, the eldest, accumulated many awards in the equitation ring throughout her junior career and now pursues a Master of Business Administration at Concordia University, while also starting and training her own young horses. Mackenzie Hudson turned to the jumper ring early in her junior years and has only excelled from there. Through the training, experience, and opportunities she gained by Lacy's hand, Mackenzie first stepped into the FEI ring in 2019, earning 8th place in a 2* Grand Prix. Today, Lacy and her family call White Fences Equestrian Center home. She is a vital part of the EA team and we are honored to have the privilege of riding with her.

Mackenzie Hudson's passion for horses began at the young age of four, when she…more Mackenzie Hudson's passion for horses began at the young age of four, when she started riding under the guidance of esteemed riders and trainers, including the McElvin's, McAllisters, and Daniel Bedoya Jr. Throughout her equestrian journey, Mackenzie has always been drawn to jumpers, and she began her jumper career at just thirteen years old. Mackenzie's hard work and dedication paid off when, at age seventeen, she competed in her first Grand Prix. Two years later, at nineteen, she was placing in her first FEI classes and 3* World Cup Qualifiers. Since then, she has won several competitive classes, including a 1.35m Grand Prix at the Split Rock Jumping Tour, and received a Top 5 Circuit Award for the 1.45m High Amateur at the Winter Equestrian Festival in 2020. Mackenzie's commitment to excellence has also earned her a spot in the Top 10 Nationally ranked Amateur Riders in both 2020 and 2021. In addition to her own achievements, she has spent a significant amount of time working with young horses. In 2019, Mackenzie received a scholarship to show with Rancho Corazon, where she impressed trainers with her potential and was granted the opportunity to work with and compete on their up-and-coming young horses. After turning pro in 2022, Mackenzie is now focused on sharing her knowledge and experience with aspiring riders, as well as training young horses to reach their fullest potential. Outside of equestrianism, Mackenzie has always identified as an athlete, having been a decorated gymnast and cheerleader. She is now pursuing a certificate in Personal Training to develop more well-rounded riders by working with them both on and off the horse.

Savanna Carette

Savanna is a young rider from Pflugerville, Texas, and is a passionate equestrian…more Savanna is a young rider from Pflugerville, Texas, and is a passionate equestrian who has been riding at White Fences Equestrian Center since 2019. Born on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation in Montana, she received her first horse at the age of 5 and has been dedicated to dressage since starting her career at Moana Morgans at age 8. After her family moved to Texas, she brought her horse to White Fences, where she met owner Silvia Speyer and head trainer Jennifer Foss. Through hard work and dedication, in 2022, she qualified for Regionals in Training Level and was invited to the US Finals in Lexington Kentucky. This season, she aims to get the scores required to earn her Bronze. With her goal to develop a Pony Club program for young horse enthusiasts, Savanna hopes to foster their love of horses and equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve their dressage or jumping dreams.
