Mitchell Nathanson

Mitchell Nathanson's family was producing and trading alcoholic beverages in Europe when it moved to Montreal, Canada and later on to Detroit, Michigan before finally settling in New York City in 1937 where it established World Liquors, becoming a successful retail store in Brooklyn. In 1974 Mitchell Nathanson went into the importation and distribution side of the trade. He was one of the new pioneer U.S. importers introducing and distributing small French estate-bottled wines in the U.S. market.
