WILSON REHABILITATION FOUNDATION (WRF)

Wilson Rehabilitation Foundation (WRF) is an evangelical Christian organization that exists to improve access to and quality of orthopedic care for people in need in developing countries... WRF sends orthopedic specialists to mission hospitals to provide training in advanced surgical techniques in mission hospitals. We also identify gifted clinicians currently serving in mission hospitals to receive further training in the U.S. through short term training programs. The objective in these programs is for the clinician to return to serve in the mission hospital... Since 1984, WRF has distributed more than $4 million to benefit orthopedic care. Administrative costs have amounted to just over 10% of that figure. We now serve hospitals in Maua, Kenya, Cameroon, and the DR Congo and have plans to continue.
