On January 16th, 1872, The Grand Lodge of the Territory of Utah was formed from the three Salt Lake Lodges: Wasatch Lodge #8 (chartered by the Grand Lodge of Montana), Mt. Moriah Lodge #70 (chartered by the Grand Lodge of Kansas) and Argenta Lodge #21 (Colorado). These lodges became Wasatch #1, Mt. Moriah #2 and Argenta #3.
