Varla was set up by Alex Iles, an engineering graduate, who initially gained his metal roofing and cladding experience whilst living and working in Sweden. In the early 1990s Varla was born in the UK. Over the years Varla has worked alongside some of the UK's most respected architectural talent, and we have been involved in numerous fantastic projects. Our portfolio ranges from galleries, to university or hospital buildings, museums, student accommodation or residential developments, stunning new build homes, and historical building renovations...
