With over 25 years' industry experience under his belt, Anthony heads up the Special Projects team. Anthony has a thorough technical knowledge of project managing contracts for both designers and contractors, often delivering complex projects within short timescales and fast-paced live environments. Anthony's areas of expertise include an ability to understand the requirements of differing disciplines and finds practical solutions. He has a thorough understanding and consideration of historic and modern construction, with an appreciation of contracting techniques for buildability. With in depth knowledge of the retail fashion sector, Anthony has undertaken numerous projects for JD Sports within the UK and Ireland, working with the JD project team and their contractors across all its brands, including JD, size? and JD Gyms, to name a few. The Special Projects team have acted as structural engineers for the award-winning TATTU restaurant and bar, based in the heart of Spinningfields, Manchester, M&S at Gapton Retail Park and Hammerson Developments, Ravenhead Retail plc. Anthony regularly provides feasibility studies to establish the potential for structural alterations to meet client requirements, development of new and existing buildings, including the design and overseeing of structural works. Projects include numerous historic and protected structures in prime locations such as Chester and Bath.

Dan is a chartered engineer with over 10 years' experience working on multi-disciplinary projects. Receiving an MEng (Hons) from the University of Manchester in 2012 Dan is a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers. Joining RoC Consulting as principal engineer Dan is a highly respected and experienced team lead. He has been involved in a variety of projects ranging from residential multi-storey buildings at Redbank Manchester, hospital emergency care buildings including the design of sports pavilions and the Welcome Building at Chester Zoo. Dan is also experienced in the delivery of office buildings and mixed-use schemes, dealing with the challenges of repurposing existing structures. Dan currently heads up our team of engineers in the delivery of high rise residential developments in the Manchester area.

With a structural engineering career spanning more than 30 years, Jon specialises in the design of high-rise buildings, bridges and stadia. As design director at RoC Consulting, Jon is responsible for developing the structural concepts and design philosophies for new projects, working closely with architects and other construction professionals to deliver schemes that meets client needs. Jon monitors the development of the design throughout the life of the project. He is responsible for resourcing the design teams and ensures that key strategic information is delivered to clients at the right time, through the all stages of the project. Jon is also responsible for developing the skills and expertise across the business to continuously improve the service offered to clients by taking advantage of new technologies, design software and construction techniques. His particular expertise lies in structural dynamics, crowd-induced vibration in stadia and the response of high-rise buildings to wind.

Mike has over 20 years' experience working as a structural engineer and project lead, predominantly across commercial and residential buildings, and retail projects. His experience covers a wide range of projects in the built environment, ranging from new-build, refurbishment, and maintenance work on residential, retail, transport, hospital, schools and civic buildings, including multi-storey structures and stadia projects. Mike thrives on the finer detail of projects, whether that's striving to achieve the client and architect's vision, driving efficiencies in design through engineering expertise or aiding the construction team to overcome any of the site complexities that inevitably materialise. Crucially, he understands that creating a successful project is more than delivering the design, it's engaging with the people behind it. As projects director Mike is also closely involved in the commercial delivery aspects of our projects. His varied experience includes many high-profile and award-winning projects, including maintenance and inspection work for premier football club stadia, Wembley Stadium and the multi-award-winning Civil Justice Centre in Manchester. Mike has recently delivered a 614 bed PRS scheme, Clippers Quay, Salford and is currently delivering an £82m residential scheme at Manchester New Square. Mike and his team were IStructE 2019 Award Winners Medium Project for the basement of Manchester New Square, utilising a complex pre-existing 4-storey basement reckoned to be the deepest in Manchester.

Paul is a Chartered building engineer with extensive knowledge and experience across residential, industrial, education and commercial sectors, as well as public and historic buildings. Paul is responsible for ensuring that the goals set out in the earlier stages of the project are consistently and efficiently delivered. He undertakes project coordination through the detailed design and construction work stages, utilising his expertise in construction methods and project management. This ensures seamless transition of projects from developed design through to construction detailed design as they transition through the practice. A key part of Paul's role is design team coordination, overseeing RoC's technical team workflow for continuity and consistency in delivery. Paul champions integrating BIM processes and Revit building modelling software within the business, which is used extensively within the practice. As operations director, Paul is also responsible for developing the company's IT strategy, taking advantage of the latest technological and software developments. This allows the business to produce project modelling to the highest possible standard and enables the addition of more data within the deliverable packages. Paul has a thorough technical knowledge of ground and substrata 3D-modelling, which offers value engineering solutions on all projects to optimise building and infrastructure levels, with respect to existing site levels and the underlying soil strata.

Raj is a chartered engineer with over 30 years' experience working in the UK and overseas, successfully delivering high profile and award winning projects. Throughout his career Raj has worked in multi- disciplinary teams proactively working to solve issues beyond his core discipline. Today, he applies this broad perspective to champion placemaking, buildability and diversity throughout the UK's built realm. Raj's experience in Manchester includes the re-development of Royal Mills Ancoats, Manchester Academy, 1 New York Street, University of Manchester's School of Humanities and Salford University's Faculty of Law. Recent projects include Albert Bridge House, a mixed-use scheme in Manchester as well as a commercial building refurbishment at One City Square in Leeds, Beck Court in Leeds and the Liverpool School of Architecture. Raj also worked on Project Maple a large residential scheme in Salford consisting of a cluster 7 high rise towers with an additional 3 mid-size residential blocks. Another commercial/residential led project that Raj has been developing is the feasibility study at Mayfield Depot that investigates the incorporation of new offices and residential towers above and through the curtilage of the existing Depot structure. With a focused approach to project delivery, Raj works closely with the wider design and delivery teams in the pursuit of technical solutions that will deliver care, value and elegance. Raj brings this wealth of experience and expertise to our projects as Strategic Projects Director.
