In 2018, AAP opened our Mental Health Program where we provide affordable mental health services. Our services are part of our commitment to education. Our providers are advanced interns from accredited universities. Our licensed supervisor supervises them. Our focus and future is to expand our mental health program and focus on trauma and co-occurring disorders. Alternative Action Programs has been a member of SAMSHA since 1977. SAMSHA has recognized our competencies and have listed us as an evidence-based program. Alternative Action Programs continues to lead our community in the pursuit to support academic endeavors. As such, we support research and continually work to support each provider's academic schedule to further his or her knowledge and education in order to understand and seek mastery in each evidenced-based theory available.
