AASA

Established in the late 1980's, the Aquaculture Association of Southern Africa (AASA) was formed to represent the interest of the then fledgling aquaculture industry in Southern Africa. Today AASA has more than 1000? members and represents various sectors contributing towards the aquaculture industry of the region, including marine species such as oysters, mussels, abalone and prawns; freshwater species such as trout, catfish, tilapia, ornamental fishes; as well as service providers such as feed companies, equipment suppliers and veterinary services... WAS is an international society that represents around 100 countries and more than 3000 members. The WAS African charter was established in 2018 and AASA proudly is recognised as one of the associates to this society.
