CPAP - Key Persons
Barbara has been working as a CPAP consultant for over 20 years and was a pioneer in the industry setting up the first pharmacy to sell and educate people with Sleep Apnea. Barbara has a nursing background and has been affectionately known as sister Barbara since she started in the Pharmacy. Her Knowledge of all brands of CPAP machines and masks is second to none and she knows how to set and change pressures on all brands and models that existed in the last 20 years. Barbara has been commonly used by the major companies for education on mask fitting due to her extensive experience. Barbara has regularly attended the national Australian Sleep Technicians Associations meetings for the last 10 years. Barbara has attended manufacturer training at all the major brands of Fisher and Paykel Healthcare, Resmed and Philips Respironics.
Belinda Cummins has experience in using a CPAP machine and brings a lot of knowledge as an end user. Many of our CPAP customers like to deal with Belinda as she provides a lot of empathy as a CPAP user. Her previous roles have been in customer service roles and dealing with the public. Belinda is trained in using the Alice Pdx Devices and performing home sleep studies. Belinda has attended manufacturer training at all the major brands of Fisher and Paykel Healthcare, Resmed and Philips Respironics.
Christian has been involved in sleep disorders since 1990 and started Benchmark Sleep Services in 2011. He spent 6 years as manager of Bankstown Sleep Unit and also established Sutherland Sleep unit, Minchinbury Sleep Unit, and Greenacre Sleep Unit. He has been testing and analysing sleep data since and still analyses sleep data today and has analysed over 5000 sleep studies. Christian also worked at Fisher and Paykel Healthcare as state manager for 5 years and then worked for short period at Somnomed who make Mandibular Advancement devices. His last industry position was at Philips Respironics for over 5 years as their National Key Account Manager. Christian has attended manufacturer training at all the major brands of Fisher and Paykel Healthcare, Resmed and Philips Respironics.
Christine is a CPAP consultant with many years of experience. She has previously worked for Philips Home Healthcare and has now joined Benchmark Sleep Services. She has a very caring attitude and is especially good with people who are finding the CPAP journey difficult as she takes her time to get to know you and to assist in all aspects of their sleep disorders. She works closely with the Highfields Thoracic and Sleep Specialists group and is well known to Dr Baerin Houghton, Dr Steven Chung and Dr Andrew Burgess. She has attended training from all the leading manufacturers of Philips Home Healthcare, Resmed and Fisher and Paykel Healthcare.

Debbie has been a valued member for the Scrivener and Webb Pharmacy Team. Debbie brings excellent customer service skills and a very good empathy with all her patients. She has been trained in sleep studies and is very good at setting patients up for their home sleep study. Debbie has established a good reputation with the local GP's as the quality of the sleep studies are excellent. Debbie has attended manufacturer training at all the major brands of Fisher and Paykel Healthcare, Resmed and Philips Respironics.
Jansen Sapno is a third-year registered nurse. He completed a Bachelor of Nursing degree at Western Sydney University in 2017 before starting his nursing career at Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals. Jansen has worked as a Sleep Technician at the Institute of Sleep Medicine.
His work at the Institute of Sleep Medicine involved performing sleep studies, CPAP titrations and educating people on the signs and symptoms of sleep disorders. It was during this time that Jansen developed a passion for helping people with sleeping disorders and he has established a good understanding of CPAP machines and fitting CPAP masks.
Jansen has been trained in all the leading brands of Resmed, Philips Respironics and Fisher and Paykel Healthcare. He has a good understanding of all the algorithms related to the CPAP machines as well as a good knowledge of all the data downloaded from the machines. Jansen has a good understanding of the mask fitting and getting the best mask for people.
Most of all Jansen has a great demeanor and patience when dealing with customers. He understands that people with sleep disorders need care and understanding and he prides himself of making sure people feel comfortable using their CPAP machine and mask
Jodie is the daughter of Barbara Simko and has been brought up with a knowledge of sleep apnea and CPAP since she was a child. She used to have a shop in the Wollongong region and has over 10 years experience in the industry. Jodie has attended training days at Philips Respironics, Resmed and Fisher and Paykel Healthcare and regularly attended the national Australian Sleep Technicians Association meeting for the last 10 years.
Leith is more commonly known as Olly. He has Bachelor of Medical science with honours from the University of NSW and performed research into children's cancer for the Childrens Research institute. He also received the Winifred Rost Medical Science Honours prize for the best performance in 2021.
Olly has a passion for the medical sciences field and his work history has revolved around health sciences. He has previously worked with Sove as a Sleep technician performing as multitude of home sleep studies in locations across Sydney. He has extensive clinical experience dealing with the diagnosis of sleep apnea and to provide a high quality of care
Olly has also worked for Sonic healthcare in their pathology laboratories and assisted in Covid testing during the pandemic. He is also a registered first aider with St Johns Ambulance.
Olly has a passion for dealing with patients with sleep disorders and is fully trained in all the major brands including Resmed, Philips Respironics and Fisher and Paykel Healthcare. He is well versed in both mask fitting and performing CPAP downloads. Olly can interpret the data and assist with all peoples CPAP needs and is great at troubleshooting issues that patients are experiencing
Sehba Khan has previously worked for CPAP Australia before joining Benchmark Sleep Services. Sehba has extensive knowledge on mask fitting and education of new and old CPAP machines. She has attended training with Resmed, Fisher and Paykel healthcare, Philips and Lowenstein. In addition to excellent product knowledge, Sehba also has a very calm and caring nature which she uses to assist patients with their treatment. Sehba has also experience in performing sleep studies using the Philips Alice Pdx System
Victoria has been with Benchmark Sleep services for over 4 years and prior to this was working with Bankstown sleep unit as a data analyst for analysis of sleep data. She has been around the industry for over 10 years and has a good knowledge of sleep and CPAP. Victoria has also had extensive roles with many large companies in the area of customer services and her skills in this area are excellent. Victoria has attended manufacturer training at all the major brands of Fisher and Paykel Healthcare, Resmed and Philips Respironics.
Vivienne is trained as a nursing assistant and has a very caring attitude to patient care. She is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin and is extremely useful in educating patients with a Chinese background who have difficulty with the English language. Vivienne is extremely caring and has a great attitude to helping people with sleep apnea and is very proficient in analyzing data from CPAP machines. She has undergone internal training from benchmark Sleep Services and has attended manufacturer training from Resmed, Philips, Fisher and paykel healthcare and Lowenstein.
