AFIBCA

The Australian Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container Association (AFIBCA) was formed in 1986 by the companies that were manufacturing or importing bulk bags at that time. There was a need for a single voice in dealing with the regulatory bodies that controlled the shipment of products and to encourage industries to use safe products and handling practices. Australian Standard AS 3668-1989 for FIBC's was born out of this and was adopted by industries as the main guide used when choosing or using FIBC's. In 2019 this standard was updated and a revision, AS 3668:2019, was published on the 20th of December 2019
