After ten years as a back-end developer, Alanna decided a change was in order. Still carrying a torch for Drupal, content management systems, and helping others, she is now working as a documentation writer, trainer, and developer advocate at amazee.io. Alanna also serves as a track chair for DrupalCon North America, is on the leadership team of Drupal Diversity and Inclusion, and serves the Drupal Community Working Group as an ambassador to Drupal Diversity and Inclusion. The proud owner of many pets, including seven guinea pigs, she is also very involved in animal rescue.

Ashleigh began her career at Rotary International as a Junior Administrator. Since then, she has worked at a variety of organizations, which gave her the opportunity to expand her skill set and become proficient in office management. While working at an IT organization, Ashleigh's interest in development projects allowed her to transition into project and account management.
Skilled at relationship building, Ashleigh enjoys being part of a team and working for common interests.
Bastian has been working in Information Technology, System Engineering and Customer Support for 15 Years. He is passionate about security, open source, and community. When not saving the world through DevOps youcan usually find him helping with events such as TEDxBern and DevOpsDay Zurich.
Ben has over 6 years of experience in System and Platform Engineering. He has designed, built and maintained numerous hosting environments and platforms for many government Drupal sites.

Blaize was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, but now lives in the small town of Paraparaumu in New Zealand. As an undergraduate, he studied classics, philosophy, and logic after which he completed his masters in cognitive science.
Before moving to amazee.io, Blaize worked in the Amazee Labs Global Maintenance team, where he had the opportunity to contribute to the Lagoon Insights project alongside some of the smartest and nicest people he's had the pleasure to work with.

Bobby has a long history of hardware engineering, and later in his career moved into systems and network administration and IT management. He loves learning, growing his technical skills, and working on collaborative teams. Bobby began as a helicopter mechanic for the U.S. Army, and he's worked for companies like IBM, Cisco, and Dell. He is motivated to always keep learning and improving, and he is excited to bring his technical skills and expertise to the amazee.io team.
When he's not working, Bobby is an avid gamer and enjoys spending time with his family.
With 18 years of web development under his belt, Brandon has programmed in just about every language - PHP, Javascript, Lua, Scala, Java, C++, FoxPro, ASP, Groovy, TCL, and others. What's more impressive is that he's a self-taught, full-stack engineer.

Bree joins us from a digital agency, where she worked as a team lead for around 30 WordPress and Drupal developers. Before that, Bree worked as a Library and Research Assistant at the National Museum of Women in the Arts, helping maintain the CLARA Database of Women Artists. While there, she inherited the maintenance of the Museum website, which led to her furthering her studies, and ultimately working in web development full-time. With a background that is both technical and people-focused, Bree has the skills to be a great contributor to our team.
Brittany got her start as an electronics engineer, and from there, she moved on to working as a platform engineer. She's always been proud of the fact that she can pick up configuration and maintenance tasks when setting up new platforms for developers- and she's always loved helping developers who work in different languages build and test their pipelines. She looks forward to learning all about WebOps with a hands-on approach and contributing to amazee.io's environments.
Cezary brings over 22 years of experience in various technical roles, from development to IT operations management and delivery management. With his deep understanding of IT systems and processes, he has successfully delivered solutions for private enterprises, government agencies, and educational institutions across Canada and Australia.
One of Cezary's strengths is his ability to connect non-technical people with relevant technology solutions, making it easy for current and future clients to understand and benefit from the technical services we provide.
Born in Badulla, Sri Lanka, matured in Colombo, and now living in Melbourne, Australia, Chandana is a technical support engineer, learner, and problem solver. With a background in software and network systems support, Chandana works with systems engineers to support open source hosting solutions. Having worked in software and telecommunications industries, Chandana has a fundamental understanding of both software and network systems support and also in application development.

Chris served as a member of the US Marine Corps as an Electronic Switching Equipment Technician, and from there completed a degree in computer science which fostered an insatiable curiosity to learn how things worked. Since then he's worked in development, DevOps, sales engineering, and customer support. In his free time, Chris is part of gaming and cryptocurrency communities, enjoys metalworking and working on his motorcycle.
Chris got his start in criminology before transitioning to IT, where he discovered that he has a deep passion for technology. He worked in many different roles, like IT analyst and technical support specialist, before starting as a front-end developer with Nintendo Australia. As a developer, Chris is really proud of his problem-solving skills, which he finds to pair well with the profession of software engineering. He looks forward to growing as a developer, especially in the WebOps space on the amazee.io team.
Deeksha has always loved learning, and she challenges herself at every step. That was why she pursued her Master's degree in data science, which led her to move to another continent, learn about new cultures, and explore new technologies. Formerly a DevOps engineer, Deeksha is excited to move forward with amazee.io as a Systems Support Engineer.

Henk brings a wealth of experience to the team, having worked in the IT industry for many years. His first job was installing and repairing computers and peripherals, followed by website development using Drupal. While at his last job, Henk worked closely with enterprise customers to build solutions that fit their business needs, utilizing his out-of-the-box solution thinking and soft skills. Henk is excited to join a company with huge potential and looks forward to contributing to its growth.
Jason has more than 23 years of experience in Creative Design and Marketing. He held the position of Creative Director at two different companies before jointly starting the Cape Town hub of Amazee Labs in 2015 where he ultimately served as the Head of Marketing and Brand for Amazee Labs, globally. Passionate about brand advocacy and company culture, his move to amazee.io sees him continue in the role of Brand Ambassador.
He lives with his family in Cape Town and in his downtime enjoys illustrating, drumming, and an eclectic taste in music.

Jay's first job ever was working as a PC repairman, and from there, he learned Linux - propelling him into a lifelong career. In his career, Jay has worked as a systems administrator, a systems engineer, a solutions architect, and more - but eventually, he realized that his favorite thing to do at work is to help clients solve their technical problems. That's how he ended up at amazee.io as a Technical Account Manager, so he can continue helping people solve their tech issues and keep things running as smoothly as possible. When he's not working, Jay is a gamer and loves riding motorcycles.

Johnny is a passionate technologist and software engineer, bringing a wealth of experience in IT systems administration and software development to his role at amazee.io. He started his career journey at NijemTech while still in college, and his thirst for knowledge in the tech industry led him to dive deep into various technologies, learning from others and solving problems independently.
Jonathan is an IT solutions creator, operations all-rounder, security expert, and leader. With a sophisticated and wide IT background, he's worked in many different IT positions and taken part in several exciting and challenging endeavors, including leading teams in developing and implementing secure IT solutions. He is located in Switzerland, enjoys badminton, swimming, and surfing; and in his spare time volunteers as a firefighter.

Justin is a programmer, technologist, and Certified Drupal Developer. He works across the technology ecosystem on projects ranging from Drupal to React, Nodejs, and DevOps technologies. He has a background in photography and design with the US Air Force, supported by a heavy focus on programming and technology. He has been involved in several startups, working with teams to build web and mobile applications.

After a few educational years at Amazon, Katharina joined our Group as Operations and Finance Manager. She is responsible for ensuring smooth operations in a busy working environment and a comfortable, happy atmosphere for our global team.
Laura's journey into the tech world began with a somewhat unexpected entry-level sales position at Acquia, a company she hadn't heard of before. Yet, there, she found herself diving headfirst into the world of open source and Drupal. Over time, she developed a knack for sales and fell in love with the sense of community and innovation that permeated the industry. This initial experience set her on a path where she thrived in various roles at startups, always seeking opportunities that allowed her to marry her sales expertise with her passion for open source technologies.
Laura began her career as a paralegal in a Swiss law firm where she advised clients and handled a variety of legal issues, including notarial tasks such as incorporations, capital increases, and mergers and acquisitions. She completed her studies in 2021 and continues her education in Global Mobility Management. A quick learner, Laura can communicate in several languages (including German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, and Russian) and her versatile background allows her to quickly tackle new challenges. Today, she applies the knowledge she gained in that sector to her work at amazee.io as a Legal and HR Manager.

Marco started his career in 2006 as a systems administrator at Postini, setting up infrastructure for their globally adopted SaaS product. In 2008, Postini was acquired by Google and Marco became a Gmail SRE. After that, he moved to Zattoo as a Data Engineer, later evolving into a more traditional SRE role, focusing on developing code in Python and Go. He then moved on to SwissRe for three years, where he also worked as an SRE.
Now at amazee.io, Marco is looking forward to working and collaborating with his colleagues on new projects and solving interesting challenges.
Martin Schlögl has a Master's Degree in Software Engineering and Economics, and he has been working in the software industry for more than 10 years. His expertise is in establishing and scaling sales within startups (Ranorex, amazee.io) and custom software development companies (Parkside Interactive). Martin lives in Austria, and when he's not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, three sons, and his whippet. He also enjoys listening to and playing music, since he actually studied Tuba at University.

Matt's background is in Technical Recruitment, and after 4.5 years within an agency, he decided to join us here at Amazee! He was born in England, but now lives in Switzerland via the beaches of Sydney, Australia.
Matt is known for his passion for simplicity and creating intuitive interfaces. With a diverse background in the wine industry, hospitality, and web development, Matt brings a unique perspective to our remote team. His design philosophy of "Keep It Simple" guides his work, making complex concepts approachable and user-friendly. Matt's happiest moments come from pushing pixels and making dreams come true for others.

Michael Schmid, some people might know him as "Schnitzel," is a hopeless optimist and tech nerd through and through. He's been driven by a passion for technology and always wanted to know more about how things work since childhood. This started with checking out library books on coding and typing examples in by hand and continued through learning about leadership as a First Lieutenant in the Swiss military, gaining hands-on experience as a developer, and carries on today in his current role as Head of Technology and Co-founder of amazee.io.
Michael likes to learn by doing and keeps his skill set wide instead of specializing. He's always interested in learning the next skill set that will help a project or company move forward, whether that means new tech, business strategies, or effective management processes. To support this, he knows how to build a team of experts and help them reach their full potential. Michael thrives on optimizing and orchestrating systems in all forms, whether it's managing a distributed global company or building a fully open source containerized hosting platform with his amazeeng team.
Mihaela is a people person: She loves working with people, and she loves solving problems in new and creative ways. If you're stumped on a project, Mihaela is the right person to have on your side: she considers herself somewhat of a "detective," never letting the answer to complex problems hide from her for too long. Mihaela has worked in several different countries, like Romania, Czech Republic, Ireland, and Switzerland - where she still is today. She has worked for companies like IBM, VMware, and Tenable. When she's not working, she loves spending time with family and exploring Switzerland.

Nicole grew up in a small town north of Munich and studied Social Work up to Masters level. She now calls New Zealand home and has been working as a digital project manager for the last 5 years, predominantly with teams building large Drupal systems.
