Katrina Williams has devoted a decade to advocacy and organizing programs for senior citizens and youth. She accomplished these tasks independently, and through the labor movement, via the Service Employee International Union (SEIU). During her tenure at SEIU, Katrina was selected to serve as Administrative Operation Administrator at SEIU Local 36, under the leadership of the Special Assistant to President of SEIU. In addition, Katrina served as the Executive Assistant to the Campaign Director of Unity '04, a massive nationwide voter registration/voter mobilization drive coordinated by the National Coalition on Black Civic Participation (NCBCP). Their efforts helped generate an unprecedented African American voter participation in the 2004 Presidential Election. They registered 105,000 new potential voters in 75 days. Katrina will continue to assist in leading the effort to deepen alliance and networks within the African American community through Anointed To Serve Ministries, Inc. Katrina holds a Masters in Public Administration/Non-Profit Organizational Studies from Southeastern University. In addition, she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Labor Studies from the National Labor College, and two Associate Degrees of Applied Science, one in Criminal Justice, and the other in Paralegal Studies. Both Associate Degrees were earned at the Community College of Philadelphia, where she was inducted into the National Honor Society (Phi Theta Kappa) and nominated to the National Dean's List for two year colleges. To further her knowledge in Non-Profit Management and Community Development, Katrina is currently enrolled in a Public Policy/Non-Profit's Doctoral Program at Walden University. Under Katrina's leadership, Anointed To Serve Ministries, Inc., will position itself, and chart a course to meet the needs of the low income families that are disenfranchised and disadvantaged within the urban communities, through programs and projects. Katrina seeks to "Persevere the Foundation" in those communities, and construct upon its groundwork.
