Brian Torres serves as Athens Capital Management's Chief Financial Officer. Joining the team in 2009, Brian leads accounting and financial reporting and provides counsel on a wide range of business matters.
Brian served as Operations Manager at Spectrum Global Fund Administration before joining Athens, where he oversaw the financial reporting for several hedge funds, including the company's biggest client.
Before joining Spectrum, Mr. Torres held the position of Treasurer at Mansur Capital Corporation and the Ontario Partners Funds, where he was responsible for all elements of accounting and financial reporting, including the company's compliance needs.
Mr. Torres brings over 25 years of accounting experience to the firm, including twenty years in the investment and securities business. He holds a B.B.A. in accounting from Loyola University Chicago and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.

Deborah Griffin is the Chief Operating Officer of Athens Capital Management LLC and has been a leader with the organization since its founding in 2002. Deborah brings many years of business management expertise and innovation to the Athens team, including key leadership positions with several companies.
She served as Chief Operating Officer at Heuristic Development Group, where she was instrumental in the organizational development and consequent sale of that firm.
Pr ior to her work with Heuristic Development group, Deborah led a division of the largest computer publishing companies in the world, Ziff-Davis Exposition s, as Vice President of Operations. Previously, she assisted Jonathan Seybold in the development of the firm in her role as the Director of Operations of Seybold Seminars.

(ACM) was founded by managing member Steven Gumins. He is also the general partner of Athens Steady Return Fund, LP. With over four noteworthy decades of experience developing investment services for HNW investors, Steven serves as the fund's portfolio manager and leads the fund's core strategic development.
Steven began his distinguished career with Merrill Lynch in 1981, followed by Lehman Brothers and
several years as an independent futures trader, including time on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Mr. Gumins also served as CEO of an innovative startup software company, Heuristic Development Group.
Mr. Gumins earned his B.A. from the University of New York in Buffalo with course work in Cuernavaca, Mexico, and pursued graduate studies in Santiago, Chile.
Holding various senior sales, marketing, and management positions within the industry, he eventually started his own independent third-party placement services company for selected hedge funds. Mr. Gumins earned his B.A. from the University of New York in Buffalo with course work in Cuernavaca, Mexico, and pursued graduate studies in Santiago, Chile. He holds Series 7 and Series 63 licenses, is affiliated with Silver Leaf Partners, LLC, and is fluent in Spanish.
Managing partner Steven R. Gumins founded Athens Capital Management as a multi-client family office in 2002 to manage his family's assets. Steve, along with the Athens team, is committed to bringing the same level of investing success they have enjoyed to other family offices and high net worth individuals.
Dr. Taha Sultan joined the Athens Capital team in August 2023 as the Directing Manager in Middle East and GCC, to support Athens' expansion of operations in the Middle East. Dr. Sultan brings over 15 years of experience in networking and negotiation, across a diverse range of geopolitical landscapes including Libya, Iraq, Jordan, Tunisia, South Sudan, and Venezuela. In his current position, support the strategic and operational aspects of Athens' regional portfolio, promote collaboration, support and facilitate strategic decision-making in the dynamic landscape of Athens in the region.
