Atech Turbine Components was founded in 1990 in Worcester, MA and acquired in 2003 by Aimtek, Inc. Aimtek was started in 1973 by Amar and Ani Kapur from their 3rd Floor apartment and rented garage in Worcester, MA. Amar Kapur emigrated to the U.S. from Mumbai, India to pursue an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). Prior to starting Aimtek, Amar worked in the corporate world for respected blue-chip companies such as Caterpillar and DuPont... Atech Turbine Components, Inc. is a recognized leader in the repair and overhaul of non-rotating hot section components for Pratt & Whitney Canada engine models PT6, JT15D, PW100, PW150, PW200, PW300, and PW500, as well as Hamilton Sundstrand PW901 APU's.
