Laura O'Brien Robertson

Dr. Laura O'Brien Robertson, Au. D. is dedicated to providing quality professional services with special attention to your personal needs. Licensed in both Rhode Island and New Hampshire, Dr. Robertson has earned the following educational degrees in Audiology: BS from the University of New Hampshire, her MA from the University of Connecticut and her Doctorate from the School of Audiology at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (now known as Salus University). Dr. Robertson was awarded her Certificate of Clinical Competence in 1992 by ASHA and received her Audiology Board Certification in 2003 from the American Board of Audiology. Dr. Robertson has worked at E.N.T. Associates of Westerly, Ltd and Westerly Hospital before returning home to New Hampshire where she practiced with Dr James Stark for five years before opening her own practice in Laconia. A member of many local organizations throughout her career, Dr. Robertson was nominated by the Governor to the New Hampshire Board of Hearing Care Providers when the board was founded in 1997. She and 4 other professionals wrote all the rules for the board's rules of operation. In 2019, Dr. Robertson has returned to serve on the board again. Dr. Robertson was also actively involved in the New Hampshire task force which successfully implemented a statewide infant hearing screening program. Dr. Robertson has been actively involved with the New Hampshire Academy of Audiology, since it's founding in 1994. She has served continuously as the Academy's president since 2012 and is still serving as president in 2021. Dr. Robertson is the ONLY Audiologist in the Lakes Region who is Board Certified by the American Board of Audiology. This certification is only available to Audiologists who have a high level of commitment to continuing education, which leads to greater expertise.
