I was born in Victoria, but graduated from Industrial High School over in Vanderbilt. After high school I enrolled in Victoria College and finished there with an associates degree in criminal justice. After VC I transferred to Sam Houston State University in Huntsville and earned a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Following undergrad I then went to St. Mary's School of Law in San Antonio and received my Juris Doctor degree. After taking the Texas bar exam I became licensed to practice in Texas courts... After passing the bar exam and becoming licensed I got a job as an Assistant District Attorney at the Victoria County District Attorney's Office. I spent over 3 years learning as much as I could about every type of criminal case, how cases are initiated, investigated and then prosecuted.
