Doug West

Doug has been working with youth and adults since 1993. He has vast experience working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other neurodiverse individuals using NeurOptimal training in conjunction with other modalities. Doug incorporates NeurOptimal® training in all aspects of his work with all clients. This non-invasive training acts as a "peak performance" tool allowing the brain to perform to the best of its ability. Doug was the Director of the Parent Driven Autism Services for 7 years for SOS Children's Village BC. This was the first fully accredited (CARF) Neurofeedback program in BC. Doug has worked with the Vancouver and Surrey School Districts, as well as several large private organizations in the Greater Vancouver Regional District. Doug has been a past presenter and trainer with UBC, Langara College, Douglas College, the 2018 NeurOptimal® Focus on Research Conference, and BCACC's 2019 Wired Together Conference. Currently, Doug is the owner / operator of DRW NeuroPerformance, and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, as well as an Authorized Provider with the First Nations Health Authority, an Advanced NeurOptimal® Trainer, Zengar Institute Certification Instructor, and NeurOptimal® Sales Representative.
