BINYON VISION CENTER - Key Persons

Dr. Giese moved to Seattle in 2007 from the California Bay Area. She completed her undergraduate education at UC San Diego with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. Two years into her undergraduate studies, she realized her love for eyes and in 2000, she earned her doctor of optometry degree at the UC Berkeley School of Optometry. She has completed internships at the Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center in Phoenix, Arizona and the Livermore VA Hospital in California. During her training, she participated in mission trips to Nicaragua and Peru where she helped to provide eye care to several thousand locals in need. Dr. Giese is highly skilled in fitting contact lenses for astigmatism, multifocal contact lenses, rigid permeable lenses and scleral lenses for those with irregular corneas due to eye disease or surgery. She is well trained in diagnosing, treating and managing a variety of vision problems and eye conditions or diseases. Outside of work, Dr. Giese enjoys dabbling in crafting projects, cooking, trying new restaurants (when she can find a babysitter) and spending as much time outdoors as she can in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with her husband (who is also an optometrist) and two young sons.
