Born 1962 in Gnowangerup, Kevin spent most of his formative years ‘on the road' travelling and living throughout Western Australia, South Australia, and Tasmania. It was during these early travels that Kevin developed his passion for the Australian landscape in all its diversity.
For the past 18 years this passion has been focused on the Western Australian landscape, it's people and their cultural pursuits. Kevin has photographed for The West Australian Ballet, Festival of Perth, WA Opera and many other arts based organisations in WA. Kevin is also credited with mounting the first ever solo photographic exhibition at the Western Australian Museum. Kevin spent several years working as a freelance photographer and photo editor, his work has been published in the West Australian, Bulletin, Who and Revelation Magazine. Among Kevin's commercial clients have been The Reserve Bank of Australia, BHP Transport, BHP Iron Ore, Swissotel, Sheraton Hotels International and Clemenger.
With the advent of electronic publishing and the Internet Kevin became heavily involved in the Multi Media and Web development industry setting up business with partners in Perth and later expanding to a branch in Sydney. Among Kevin's clients in these fields were Microsoft, Unilever, Channel 9 and Nickelodeon. Kevin has added the computer graphic and electronic marketing skills gained during this period to his photography and work with Black Stump Productions.
When not in Perth Kevin can be found out in the bush with a camera pack on his back and a big smile on his face.
