Terry Kelley is senior strategist and the founder of Blue Triumph Strategies. Terry blends his background as a working electronic journalist with his experience as a grassroots political organizer, and state legislative candidate to offer keen media and political insight for his clients.
Terry knows what it's like to be a candidate for office--because he's been there! From door-knocking house-to-house, to raising campaign funds, to debating a political opponent at a public forum, he knows what it's like because he's done that!
Terry became involved in local Democratic politics as a high school student in his native Iowa. No stranger to the Hawkeye state's first-in-the nation presidential precinct caucuses---Terry was active in four of them before becoming a radio and t.v. anchor and reporter.
As a broadcast journalist, Terry has covered federal, state and local politics, asking the tough questions of candidates and office holders. He's worked in newsrooms in Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, and Ohio. This media expertise is invaluable to his clients.
Terry studied mass communications and business administration at Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa.
He enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife Shauna, and daughter Meagan.
