A former aerospace engineer and Statistics professor at the University of Toronto, Craig brings a rigorous academic background to all data science and machine learning problems. His strong fundamentals ensure that BSC is always answering the correct questions with the correct theoretical tools, and he's constantly on the lookout for fallacies, much to the annoyance of everyone he works with!
Craig started the business in 2011 while pursuing his graduate degree, and has been consulting full-time through BSC since 2019. His experience teaching the next generation of data science practitioners and consulting in the professional software services industry have allowed him to strike a nice balance between academic and industry practices, which are often in tension with one another. It is this balance that allows Craig to "get things right" on a project, while still delivering quickly.
Craig specializes in hypothesis testing (insights!), the visual display of data (dashboards!), and predictive analytics, as well as general project management. He is very lucky to be surrounded by extremely capable colleagues.
Faizan is a Data Scientist, Statistician, and Machine Learning Engineer with over 6 years of industry experience in advanced analytics. He has empowered businesses to grow with data-driven and cutting edge machine learning solutions, and built machine learning models in Python and R for supervised and unsupervised learning, predictive and prescriptive modeling, natural language processing, times-series analysis, data visualization, and deep learning. Through a wide range of client projects, competitions, and collaborative work, Faizan has developed extensive leadership and organizational skills, completed over 20 projects in machine learning, statistical consulting, and biostatistics; and conducted several studies which lead to the publication of 5 papers.
Mr. Hunt holds a undergraduate and Masters degree in civil engineering from the University of Toronto and is a registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario. Mr. Hunt is a results orientated professional with over 15 years of experiencing in engineering through his simultaneous practice in academics, consulting and research. These three separate practices have strengthened his analytical reasoning and mathematically modelling of engineering systems, his management of teams, timelines and deliverables, and his dedication to client objectives.
Tyler specializes in the hardening and deployment of our solutions. With experience in AWS, GCP, and Azure Tyler brings robust cloud platform experience to our team to help take our solutions from PoC to realized product. Tyler has extensive experience with traditional database software, DataLake, and Data Warehousing solutions, enabling the team to connect and work with all data platforms.

A scientist at heart, Victor is currently a PhD candidate at Carleton University where he is applying the latest developments in deep learning to drug discovery. He makes sure that BSC is up to date on the latest research methodology and is ready to turn it into practical solutions. He has extensive experience in making, calibrating, and interpreting machine learning models, both traditional and novel.
