ANTHONY SALTERI

Anthony graduated from the University of Sydney in 2006 with a Bachelor of Engineering and a Bachelor of Commerce; he then spent the next 5 years working internationally as a professional ski patroller before returning to Sydney in 2011 to work as an analyst at LHC Capital. Anthony has been responsible for managing Soletto Investments for the past four years and manages the operations and investments for CAGES Foundation. Anthony is a member of Philanthropy Australia's New Generation of Giving program and has completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors observership program.

GEMMA SALTERI

Gemma has worked with CAGES Foundation since the beginning, and was appointed a Director in 2016. She is a current board member of Story Factory and Watipa and a past Director of The Funding Network. Gemma is also a graduate of the Australian Companies Institute of Directors and the Chief Executive Women's Leadership program and is currently studying her Masters of Public Policy and Governance at UNSW. In a past life she worked for several of Australia's largest natural health businesses in leadership roles. Gemma is responsible for the Foundation's strategy and continues to drive the move towards impact investing. She is a Mum to two young kids and (mostly) enjoys the juggle.

PAUL BIANCARDI

Paul is a Chartered Accountant with over 40 years experience in Public Practice. He has specialised in Taxation Law and practice and was Chairman of Coopers and Lybrand. He has been an advisor to domestic and international companies and government agencies. Paul has been a director and chaired a number of public and private companies operating in fields of recruitment and human resources, technology, property development, hotels, infrastructure and venture capital . He has been a trustee of the Cages Foundation since its inception.

PAUL SALTERI - Chairman, Founder

Paul graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting. He joined the Transfield group in 1978 and rose to the position of Joint Managing Director, a position he held until the Transfield Group split in 1997 when he was appointed managing director of Tenix Pty Ltd. Paul is a Director of the Butterfly Foundation, a fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants and a Governor of the Warren Centre for Advanced Engineering at the University of Sydney. He is a past Director of Austrade, a Chairman of AIG Defence Manufacturers Council, and a Defence Industry Advisory Council member. In 1999 The Italian Government awarded him the title Cavaliere Ufficiale. In 2013 Paul was awarded an AM, and in2021, he was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) for services to the building and construction industries and philanthropy. Paul is a loving husband, and a dedicated father and grandfather.

RACHEL KERRY

Rachel Kerry has over twenty years experience in philanthropy and corporate responsibility with a background in financial services and responsible travel. Rachel joined CAGES in 2011 focussing on strategy, measurement, partnerships and overall administration of the foundation. Rachel was formerly on the Board of Curious Works and has spent time consulting to non-profits around strategic philanthropy. She is an enthusiastic member of the Early Childhood Impact Alliance and the International Funders for Indigenous People network. Rachel was born and raised in Sydney on the land of the Bidgigal people, after much exploration she now lives there with her husband and two teenage sons.

SANDRA SALTERI - Founder

Sandra co-founded CAGES Foundation in 2009. She is a zealous regenerative farmer and has spent the last 10 years implementing regenerative farming techniques at the Salteri family farm in the Southern Highlands. Sandra is determined to leave her patch in better condition for her grandchildren and their children to enjoy and to showcase how farming can be sustainable and profitable. Sandra is also passionate about health and education and advocates for necessary change. As a keen pianist Sandra also understands the importance of music in education and has been a long-term supporter of the Education Chair at the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Sandra worked as a registered nurse for many years, which still informs her work at CAGES Foundation. She is a loving wife and mother of three children, grandmother of two grandchildren, and is proud to have worked hard as the backbone of her family for the past 40 years.
