Dr. Ambreen Khurshid completed both her internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship training at University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee clinical campus. Her first five years in practice were in Milwaukee, WI.
She had been visiting family in the Fresno area for a few years and she liked it so much that she decided to move here. She has been in Fresno since 2005. She is affiliated with UCSF Fresno department of gastroenterology as teaching faculty. She is passionate about her work and takes great pride in her patient's confidence in her. She is particularly interested in GI disorders in women including Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
She tries her best to strike a balance between her career and family. She is supportive of her kids and her husband who is also a physician. Together they enjoy traveling and discovering California.
Dr. Ehsaan Akhtar is board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He is fluent in medical Spanish. Dr. Ehsaan Akhtar looks forward to utilizing the latest advanced endoscopy techniques to take care of patients in his hometown of Fresno, California.
Dr. Ehsaan Akhtar, a Fresno native, will join Dr. Naeem Akhtar, Dr. Ambreen Khurshid, and Mikhail Alper at California Gastroenterology Associates in July 2020, after completing his training in Gastroenterology & Hepatology and Advanced Endoscopy.
