We have been in business since 1874 and have manufactured over 48,000 custom and standard machines tools... Located on a 30 acre site in Barre, Massachusetts, Chas G. Allen has over 120,000 square feet of facilities. Our focus is our customers and we offer the superior quality and service you expect! The facilities include extensive production equipment including large capacity CNC machining centers, assembly and test equipment, deburring and surface finishing machines, painting and high bay manufacturing space... In 1874, Dr. Chas. G. Allen founded his company shortly after the Civil War manufacturing the "Yankee" hay rake and other horse drawn farm equipment. In 1904 the Chas. G. Allen Co. manufactured it's first Upright Sensitive Drilling Machine and has manufactured over 36,000 machines to date, and along the way was awarded the Army/Navy Blue Gold Production Award for manufacturing excellence in support of the war effort.
